As for quantum gravity, much like string theory, I'm highly skeptical

Stupid, like the Sharia Law bills stupid.
Theoretically I'm not against teaching an alternative to evolution it just needs to be one based on reality.
Some of the ultimate answers may not be discoverable by thought and therefore science. There is an alternative to thought though while nameless exists and that is nature so to speak or the built in information and capabilities we all have. Thought is something that as far as we know only humans do at the kind of level that is important for these kinds of questions and thus may be more like a knife, a tool for use and tools have built in limitations.
If observation is the basis for science some things cannot ever be determined as observation cannot ultimately determine things like purpose as that requires information beyond what can be found by observation.
Practically speaking though this is retard levels of stupid, furthermore filling kids minds with this bullshit is only making things far worse and less able to compete in a global society. Evolution is pretty rock solid at this point, and while we shall surely find nits and so forth these bills have more to do with adult humans and their particular problems than education.
Until our society cuts the crap and is honest with who I (everyone's I not ABC particuarly) is this kind of shit will never end. The belief in fairy tales is an important lesson on human thought that unfortunately is lost on 99% of beings. You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Facts pertaining to flat earth theory? Sorry, but I am too busy researching facts on the tooth fairy.
I simply used flat earth as an example of stupid, and you come back with some shit about ice walls. Now you expect others to waste their time to support your stupidity. Dream on space cadet.

The world is not flat. It is, in actuality, round. Even though I am a conservative and I support Romney and his War with Iran, I think conservatives like us have to be very careful about being perceived as unscientific because of our opposition to Evolution and I think the idea that the world is flat, which I'm told is a scientific error, is not very helpful.

LOL!
I work in computational geometry. It's probably not a good idea for you to come in here and start talking about topology when you clearly don't understand the first thing about it.
Unless you're going to enlighten us, vis a vis your excellent discussion on gravity vs. electromagnetism. Of course, we all know where that went.
Maybe you should stick to cooking fries?
