Cheese, Chocolate, and Powder Video. Switzerland with the Meatheads

I had the chance to go to Switzerland to film with the Meatheads this March. Here's some of what I got on my GoPro... Typical helmet mounted POV set to rock music begins at about 2:20, if you're into that.

I need to go through my photos and toss a couple up on here.
    Cheers,

Glarus Valley. Stayed with the Ortlieb family in Schwanden, amazing people. Most of the skiing was close to Braunwald...so not too much competition for the freshies.

Awesome. As always. Question: are you filming at 60 fps?

I usually shoot with the r3 setting on my GoPro (720p, 60 fps). Makes for cleaner slo-mo. Geoff, head Meat of Meathead Films, prefers the r4, 960 setting...mainly so that we can adjust/crop the image to have the optimal height/direction of the camera. Does that make sense? So...the majority of the shots used in the first two parts were at 60fps (conformed to 30) while my POV ski footage was primarily at 30 fps- which is why you didn't see many of those shots with the speed adjusted.

And Subtle Plague, I'll try to get something up for that page!

That makes sense - I never even thought about the advantage of the extra height for cropping the top and bottom to provide more control on how it's centered. But figured with some of your other videos it had to be 60fps since it always looks so smooth. Nice post production work, in general.

Nice to see you made it to Glarnerland. I looked at the trailmap for Braunwald earlier this season but it looked really flat so I never decided to go... Guess you showed me otherwise Great stoke, I don't want this season to end!
