WTB: 35mm 888 steerer/lower crown or parts fork, and any rc2 or rc3 cartridges
Yo.
Ever have it where you go to make one little change to the bike, and it snowballs into a whole damn project? Yeah. Operation VP varial headset in the Sunday is becoming a nitemare.
I need a lower crown/steerer for a 35mm 888. 7" or more please. If you have a wonky, blown up or snapped lower arch complete fork, depending on the model I would consider taking that too. Help a brother out. The lifts are opening a month early here, and my bike is a sad pile of crap.
2. I've been franken-forking my 55 a bit, and so far so good. Right now, I have a dual spring rc3 damped ETA fork (yes, tis sick) but I REALLY want to try an rc2 or particularly an X cartridge in the other leg instead of ETA. So, if you have carts from a z1 or a 66 sitting around, hit me up....I buy them!

i've got the 888 forged flat crown, bought from a buddy (below) who installed them but never used them. His description below. I never used them and paid $125. How about $100 shipped?
These will drop your front end 1" (25mm) for quicker steering. They are much better than the Go-ride or Risse versions due to the fact that the crowns are forged (much stronger than machining) and the steerer tube is pressed in and not bolted in (again, a much stronger connection).
I paid nearly $200 when I bought these through Chain Reaction Cycles in England this past spring (crowns were like $180 and shipping was like $20)...
