Thread: Enchiladafest 4.0

UPDATE as of 10/2: Shuttle is FULL. It (consisting of 4 vans) will be leaving the campsite at 8am on Saturday morning.



Boom, here it is.

Dates: October 5th-7th (Campsite reserved 5th and 6th)
Location: Goose Island Group Campsites, Moab, UT
Cost: $15 to cover camping with extra fund allocated to beer/ice/etc.

What's the deal: 4th time this has rolled around so you should know it. We show up and ride the Whole Enchilada on Saturday with a big enchilada feast after the ride. If you're involved, bring enchilada's or some other delectable dish (seriously, enchiladas encouraged) to share with the group post-ride on Saturday. There have been some awesome dishes brought in years past and we welcome your attempt to one-up those. In addition, booze, revelry, and all other forms of mischief are highly encouraged. Just don't land in the Moab jail as word on the street is it isn't fun.

What should you bring: Aforementioned group food and revelry. Also, tent, bike, food, water, EXTRA TUBES and anything else that you feel you would need for a weekend camping in the desert riding bikes. It is a group but please be prepared to take care of yourself.

We will Shuttle on Saturday morning and be splitting in to three groups based on skill level, ego and your personal durability. People who's egos tell them to be in A group are welcome to fall back to B group or even C group when they realize that they are not as B.A. as they thought they are. We will welcome you to the lower tiers of the riding realm.

humm, skibee and I are road tripping at that time, and might do the first 2 days of outerbike, then come for this?

anyone been to outerbike? Worth it, or giant shit show, with reps trying to get you to drink there cool-aid?

I think this trip would be a terrific use of your vacation time.

That and a jaunt through the Sawtooths, Tetons, Vernal, and other places would be beyond excellent that time of year.

more like massive swarm of people, hard to get onto the really cool desirable stuff b/c its out.

OK, we are in for Enchiladafest 4.0. We will do the Oct 3/4 at outerbike and hope this is like pre-season games that are quiet and people dont care about. I dont need to demo bikes. I have one.

This is the same weekend as 24 hrs of Moab. I wanted to try that...but now...I don't know anymore. Instinct says TWE is better than a race loop, and cheaper...either way, I will be in town.

Well, let us know. This is turning into a packed crowd with the BigKuba crew. I think we're at about +30-40 in addition to this list from the SLC area (even split of mags/lurkers and "others").

Prolly have some attrition but we can technically have up to [GASP] 65 people. Yikes!

Needa call the shuttle and make a reservation and give him a heads up on projected numbers.

We're gonna piss sooooooooooo many people off. And to think, it only took a group of 3 to result in jail time a couple of years ago.

This is going to be an absolutely, positively wonderful shitshow. I'm looking forward to it.
