I was lucky enough to "win" a facebook competition through a local photo store to go and shoot a Real Salt Lake game. Pixels, Foto and Frame here in Sandy, UT. I got a free ticket to the game, photo credentials and they were also cool enough to let me borrow a Canon 400mm F4L. This was a really cool experience, it kind of made me wish I could do this kind of stuff more often.
I brought 2 bodies with me. My 5d2 and my T2i. Not ideal by any means but it's what I have currently. I put the 400 on the 5d2 and used my 70-200 F4 on the T2i. It was pretty awkward at first trying to shoot with 2 bodies, especially with one of them having a gigantic honking lens on it but by the end I was feeling pretty comfortable. I setup both bodies to shoot wide open, by the end of the night I had my iso cranked up to 3200 and I was using AI Servo on both. I was actually pretty surprised at how well the AI Servo did for 2 bodies that aren't known for having a great AF system. I definitely missed some shots, but not as many as I thought I would. More FPS would have helped nail some shots too.
All in all, an awesome experience.
