    2010-2011:
    1. Two weeks at Whistler for Christmas, epic powder, spent most of trip on DPS 112RPs.
    2. One week heliskiing in Gothics with CMH
    3. One week back at Whistler for spring break

    4. Summer at Whistler - mountain bike accident, broken femur in three places.
    5. Fall - becomes apparent that the great socialist medicine surgeon in Vancouver reassembled my femur such that my leg was 1.5 cm shorter than the other.

    2011-2012

    1. Ski at Whistler for Christmas - leg length discrepancy provides so much instability that skiing anything but groomed runs was impossible.
    2. Surgery February 29th to correct leg length discrepancy - to be followed by 12 weeks on crutches
    3. Canceled heliski trip in early March to CMH Cariboos
    4. Canceled spring break trip to Whistler (last week, when conditions obviously sucked).

I am saying that my hand is not raised for this year being a fun season.

Great season. Not nearly as many epic days as last year, but it was still good.

    So yah, hand raised.

I'm ready for bike season, though.

Yea, the 2 3/4 months of powder in the Alps was sweet, the following spring conditions for the past month and the realization that winter isn't coming back, not so sweet.... Been riding the bike for 3 weeks now already, and hoping that a real job will come my way so I can save enough money to travel next winter... You NA'ers don't realize how good you have it.

It's been a hell of a season in the PNW. I'm hoping BC's Apr-uary continues and I can get faceshots for another few weeks. I wonder when/if I'll ever get the chance to do some serious mountaineering with the way it keeps coming down in these parts.

    Both hands held high!

    Absolutely fabulous.

Quit the 9-5, and the commute from Boulder to South Denver, moved to the Buttes, and spent several glorious weeks living the dream. Looking forward to fixing this mangled ACL, getting on the singletrack come July, and enjoying another incredible season with good people, good beer, and new challenges.

The best! First season as volunteer ski patrol.....which was interesting...and got in a bunch of great days.

But what made this the best year was the fact that I skied a lot with my two older girls and took them on their first big ski trip. What a blast!

Post quad tendon reattachment surgery season started March 1 and had my 4th day this past Sunday. Cruising groomers (except for straying into the pow next to the groomed now and then) per surgeon/PT instructions. I started out with about 3 hours before I knew I should quit and this week got about 4 hrs in. Its been great to be back on skis and there are plenty of days left.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

even with below average snow fall its been one of the best seasons yet. Mountains stay empty when its mild in the cities all winter.

And its not over yet, skiing today in North Vt

one of the deeper days this season

I had an epic season in January and going into late February. But then I hit a wall:

I demoed the TECH TALK JONG! pro model this spring and their performance was unparalleled which is good because I ski in a wedge most of the time - bendtheski, 2011

Glad you're getting your opportunity to get back out there. Hope the rest of your recovery is painless and trouble free.

I raise my hand......different from years past, but with where I am at family wise, it was great.

    Highlights:
--Seeing a 4 year old learn to ski on his own. Getting a 1 year old used to being a ski family (putting on gear, riding lifts, seeing brother....sometimes "skiing" between legs, often carried).
--2 days of skiing in Whistler in March......amazing guys trip.

Season stats: Tahoe season started Jan 21 (by my records). My wife, 4 year old, and I all got around 17days so far (should at least crest 20 still), and 1 year old got 6 so far.

Whistler Hawaii 5-0. A fun line of memory. Didnt even know what I was skiing, just followed Powder11s.

Loved this run.....did it 5 times.

    One pic I liked.
