2012 Freeskiing World Tour - Moonlight Basin, MT Qualifier

Awesome event up at Moonlight. Great terrain, great skiing, great carnage. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

#9 confuses me. I can't see where he came from or where he's going to, unless both are out of frame, in which case that's ridonkulous.

Yes. The usual route through this area was two small-ish drops to lookers left of this guy. This dude approached as everyone else did and then all of a sudden sent it huge over everything. Crazy.

Lots of flesh hovering over shark teeth, I like it all. Great looking ripsters. Really nice closeup on #7, that is one stylie lady. Rock on.

Nice pics. Seems like the venue turned out pretty good for the comp.

Everyone was complaining about low snow leading up to it but it didn't seem to slow anyone down. This comp last season though would have been killer.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited about my Day 2 pictures as well. The light was alot better, much more contrast, and I should be able to save alot more detail in the snow as well as have brighter skiers and whatnot. The video isn't mine, just to be clear.

I have to pass along some huge props to the MSI/FWT staff.

They were some of the most organized organizers I have had the chance to work with.

Brian, Abe, Ronnie and the rest of the crew, excellent job, come on back anytime!

    Awesome photos, thank you!

This event was certainly an eye opener to what can be done in the Headwaters. It was awesome to see some skiers with a fresh perspective... the carnage was fun to watch as well!

From what I heard talking to them (and they hopefully told you the same) they were super stoked on the mountain and said that your organization was one of the easiest to work with that they've ever dealt with. Hopefully this becomes a yearly event.

wow great shots of a frickin great event, awesome color in those pics for such a gray day 1.

the vid recaps are sweet but I'd like to see one more of some of the other great lines that were charged. and i'd love to see the pinner through the equalsign that setup the randy evans sick bird backflip.

I wont look at the headwaters the same way again.

Incredible skiing on display, very inspiring and impressive. What's scary though is the giant suicidal huck to hardpack at 1:40 discussed above. I hope that guy and every one else that wrecked are unscathed. I'm over the "vibes" threads this year. Carnage sucks trust me. Ski smart, stay healthy and ski a long time. 70 footers to MLB hardpack ain't worth any amount of glory or poon.

Great Shots. Its always crazy to see people get after it that hard when conditions are far from perfect.
