    Bar Songs!

...you know the type. You wouldn't necessarily play it on your own but when you walk into a good old fashioned drinking bar--smokey, stiff drinks, legit--you find yourself rockin' along and thinking how rad the song is.

    I'll offer:

    Roadhouse Blues by the Doors
    Born on the Bayou, CCR
    Turn the Page, Bob Seger
    Machine Gun, Band of Gypsies
    Pusherman, Steppenwolfe
    Walk, Pantera
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring."

It's ok to like them in the situation but you are a certified asshole if you start singing along at any volume over a whisper. This goes for any song actually. If you raise your arm at any point, sing into your fist or play air guitar you should be sterilized on top of the shunning you get.

That damn Journey song..... that and Bon Jovi get so much play here in Boston.

I know it's not really in the spirit of the thread; but whenever possible, I play "(Not Just) Knee Deep" at a bar via some of those newfangled iPhone jukebox systems that a few of my friends use/abuse. 15 minutes of straight, grimy-ass, RAW funk.

EDIT: goddamn. told myself I wouldn't listen. ...couldn't help it. risks: wearing a fuckin' STANK face, uncontrollable dancing, and unprotected sex-- to name a few. ...something about the music...

Ugh . . . nonstop. Back Door Man by The Doors, or anything by The Doors for that matter. Morrison just makes me want to drink heavily and rip butts. They're my go-to for Karaoke too . . .

It's from Cock Rock. I have the CD somewhere in hard copy but it's all digital now that I have given up on CD's.

And who can forget this jam?!?! I know it's not the original from Dead Milkmen but it rules and is appropriate given the quote.
