As for the death penalty I'm for it in certain cases where pre meditation can be proved, or they have DNA evidence linking a person to the crime or there is overwhelming evidence (fingerprints, weapon, other crime scene evidence, air tight placing of the defendant at the scene, that type of thing) and then a thorough appeals case has been presented. This guy stalked and then murdered this boy. I'd lose no sleep over his exit.

I still haven't found out if the kid lived in that community or not, or was simply taking a short-cut. At any rate...I've heard it was a very multi-racial gated community...with whites, blacks and hispanics....so his apparent racial profiling in that community would have been totally unjustified and illogical.

I did hear that there were supposedly break-ins in that community that the neighborhood watch guy had called about the month before... and that according to Deputy Dawg, the suspects were two black teens wearing hoodies....not that this justifies his actions in any way.

As far as I can tell from local news, Zimmerman was the "Captain" of a somewhat unofficial watch program that mainly consisted of just him. He had no training or agreement with local authorities and was really just looking to shoot someone. The kid was just walking along with his tea and skittles talking to his girlfriend on the his cell. How the fuck does that look suspicious to anyone?

Sounds like there's a 911 call from the victim that'll be in the news shortly. I might have misunderstood it.

It's become larger than life cause it now seems the media has fanned the flames of a skewed story line in some respects and left out some what I'd consider key pieces of information, that and larger than life sells papers.......

I don't see how any past transgressions on Martin's part really have any bearing. When he was gunned down he was not armed. If Zimmerman believed Martin was casing the neighborhood then he should have called 911 and he did. That's where Zimmerman's involvement should have ended.

You're exactly right past transgressions aren't relevant to the incident. I've said exactly that, an armed Zimmerman went after this kid and he shouldn't have.

I think showing the pictures of T. Martin as a 12 yr. old were misleading, info coming out now seems to be contradictory to what the Sentinal stories published. The way the media portrayed the incident is my problem. They didn't need to sensationalize or distort/omit facts. Zimmerman royally screwed up having a gun and following/stalking a person with that gun.

YOu guys have the "facts" wrong. Zimmerman lost the kid while trying to follow him, the kid then jumped Zimmerman, Zimmerman pulled his gun and killed him. It is all in the police report and 911 tapes.

Zimmerman was getting the shit kicked out of him, Martin was on top, multiple (+3) witness' have reported.

Shit is blown out of proportion because it is FL and people are fat and bored.

That's what's being reported now. That wasn't how the incident was portrayed in the "Sentinal" was it?
