right. i believe i said something about lame excuses. i dont care how stupid it is, if a guy who i claimed didnt ski had made a similar offer, i would have taken him up on it. of course, i'm not a huge pussy, so i'm having a hard time seeing things from your perspective

Exactly. The rarity of this situation is what makes people interested in this story. Internecine gang warfare just isn't going to resonate with the general public like an unarmed teenager getting shot by an adult is. It's just not. That's not racism, that's human nature.

makes perfect sense. why focus on the thousands of innocent people getting slaughtered with impunity around the country, when there's a single outlier that lends itself to race baiting?

and why talk about the hundreds of thousands getting surprise buttsex in prison on drug offenses, when the real tragedy is that oprah cant marry her lesbian lover?

Basically because you've got to pick your fights. And "thousands of innocent people getting slaughtered..." what the hell are you talking about?

Sadly, people tend to avoid addressing real, difficult problems. This whole thing is a drop in the bucket compared with the horrible things occuring around the country and the world, but having a strong opinion on it one way or another makes people feel principled and just without actually having to do anything. Such is human nature much of the time.

You raised the issue of requiring money in your challenge, I just questioned whether you actually skied, no money is/or was required to prove that. There's been at least one winter since then... Can you refer me to your posts relating to your skiing since then? Of skiing with other maggots (that's kind of a community norm) of any significant contribution to the whole ..... this is a ski forum... thing?

    http://www.timesrecordnews.com/news/...ved-homicides/

"Nearly 185,000 killings went unsolved from 1980 to 2008.

Experts say that homicides are tougher to solve now because crimes of passion, where assailants are easier to identify, have been replaced by drug- and gang-related killings. Many police chiefs -- especially in areas with rising numbers of unsolved crimes -- blame a lack of witness cooperation."

What are the real difficult problems that people are ignoring?

When I say "people", I mean the general populace. Certainly there are people working against genocide, hunger, gang violence, environmental degradation etc. Those are not the people I'm talking about.

right. just like no balls are required for you to make your claim, just to stand behind it, which you won't do

and you make of this place what you want. me, i come here to look at pictures in the other forums, and laugh at people in this one. i dont have much use for that other stuff - i have plenty of people to ski with, and i rarely get the opportunity to take good pictures

Sorry, I don't consider gang and drug related killings to be "innocent people getting slaughtered." Those people chose that lifestyle. Yeah, it's still a tragedy that so many are killed, but I'm not going to shed too many tears over gang-bangers getting popped.

I'm starting to remember why I had you on ignore for so long.

Just for the fun of it, what point do you believe I made that needs "proving"?
    This:

    Dispatcher: "Are you following him?"

    Zimmerman: "Yeah."

Dispatcher: "OK. We don't need you to do that. What's your name?"
Your turn. Demonstrate that the dispatcher told Zimmerman to continue pursuit of Martin.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

wow, logic really isnt your thing

that certainly does NOT prove your claim that he disregarded their directive

I have to agree. He was never--as far as I can tell-- explicitly told not to continue following Martin.
