TR: Grand Targhee Super Deep Day
I had a sick day shredding with the family up at Grand Targhee. It was classic a classic Targhee sleeper day. Going to bed at midnight it had not even begun to snow. We rallied early though just to make a day out of it. There was hardly any fresh in the valley. By the time we got to the base we realized they had gotten a bunch more than we thought. The report said it was twelve. It skied more like 24". It was perfect for my 5 year old son Kai, who got the deepest turns of his life.

Kai getting warmed up for the day

Heading into the trees

Good form for a 5 year old. He said it felt cool having the snow hit his face.

Dad got a little bit of the goods as well!

The wife got some of the goods as well.
Some of the best turns of the season for me. Hopefully we finish strong.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: Wow!!! What a ride!"
"We been runnin' these goddam hills for dang near, huh?"

God I love the 'Ghee
Looks like you nailed it. Got some vis: to boot. Are you sure it is wise to to let the young ones know of such pleasures at a early age
it is good to be the geezer!

We were at Targhee for the weekend taking advantage of the "ski for free with a season pass from anywhere if you stay on the hill" deal. Saturday was the best day of the season for sure.

Watching Kai get those lines had to be one of the best things you have ever witnessed on skis. Nice going papa Todd.
