Fenris, those jumps look NIIICE, I keep getting tempted to build a dirt jumper back up, but I may end up building that frame into an xc machine for the lady friend...
skibumnh, I'd love the info on that secret techy system near needham if you feel like sharing, or could meet up for a weekend ride there... just had a good n' fast sesh at cutler, temp warmed up and was too nice not to get some riding in.
Anyone wanna meet up tomorrow for some bicycle riding??

That's largely a pump track, but there is a really cool looking series of jumps just down the street here in Winchendon. Now I just gotta find someone with larger balls so that I can take some pictures.
I could probably manage another ride tomorrow.
Anyone else find that Drummer Hill extracts some kinda toll for new riders there? My cohort of the day had wicked tube trouble though fun otherwise.

what are tubes?
other than disc brakes i think tubeless is the best thing to happen to MTB's.
are you riding Drummer today?
i live 15 minutes from there, yet i haven't ridden there in five years.
the riding out my back door in Walpole has become wicked good in the last couple of years.
if i drive, i usually go to STAB. i would like to check out Drummer again one of these days.

I do not think that 7 & 10 year old rims that I was beating dents out of are really compatible with tubeless.
I think I could rally for another ride at Drummer today.

excellent time riding with Fenris!
of course i hexed myself after the tubeless rant.
punctured at the mid way point of the ride.
my Stan's goo was one big lump.
had to bust out a tube and run it old school
Drummer has it going on. lot's of options including full on DH shuttle run's if yer into big bikes and sending big drops.crab in my shoe mouth

Yes, I now have three points of data to back up my hypothesis that Drummer hates 'drummer newbies' gear.
I sucked wind on some of the uphills, but it was still fun.
Probably be headed back tomorrow around 2:30 for more pain if todays pain is enough of a memory by that point.

Hey Buttah,
I'm going to guess that STAB blows the other local stuff by you out of the water or you wouldn't go, but is Pine Hill worth riding too? Thinking about doing a few days in VT if I can convince my pals that they don't need to climb any time there's.... daylight.j'ai des grands instants de lucididididididididi

STAB is tit's. plain and simple. tit's. it doesn't hurt that it's only a half hour from my place.
i've heard nothing but good about Pine Hill. i need to get over there. i was at STAB again yesterday for another most excellent session. git sum!crab in my shoe mouth

Haven't been there, but get to Millers Pond in Durham all the time - place is fabulous. From everything I've heard comparing the two spots, skip Tyler and go to Millers. Not that Tyler sounds bad, but everyone I've spoken with who rides both says Millers is better.
Lots and lots of skinnies. I mean lots. If you like those, wait for a dry day, as they are snot slick their when wet.Florence Nightingale's Stormtrooper

ML, pine hill is a blast. Let me know if and when you're headed there. It's a short drive for me so I might be able to meetup with ya. Also the riding here in Saratoga is killer too.. just not the flowy goodness you'll find at Pine Hill or Stab.

Any reports from Highland opening day?
STAB trails and Pine Hill Park are on my list for the near future. I'm going to head up there for a long weekend and hit those spots soon. Most of the other riding in S. VT is getting pretty boring.

I may try to hit STAB on Sunday. I guess it depends on if I survive boating on Saturday.
