CR Johnson appreciation thread
Two years ago today CR died. While we can all appreciate his legendary X Games performances, trick filled big mountain segments, and determination to rise up and return to professional skiing after a massive head injury, I will always remember and appreciate CR for being such an awesome guy. CR reminded me to be a righteous person, to treat my lady well, and to always bring the stoke when I am on the hill. He reminded me to never give up and to chase your dreams no matter how big they are.
Lets honor this man by getting outside and enjoying a beautiful day.
Respect to one of the all time greats.

CR had an absolutely profound impact on the lives of my brother and I. Everyday we give thanks for that. Watching him come back was the most inspiring thing I ever saw. These next photos are from a day, which he would tell you, was one of the best days of his life. He fucking stomped a cork 7 first try in the backcountry, the first one he ever tried after his brain injury. Going back up today to blaze a fire in his honor...

geez...two years...sad. nice thread though, thanks.
the two vids i really liked was the one when he was teaching the little kids and he was singing the marley tune on the lift. the other was the one his friend posted and they were just ripping around having fun, from groomers to little side trails...just the normal fun day with your friend type stuff. we all knew his ripping abilities, so it was cool to see him just having 'casual' fun too.
both my kids are riding the CRJ's...thanks CR!

Nice 'stone grind' ...and did someone photochop the beer out
Never met him, but he was one of those guys who came across as genuinely nice, humble, and grateful despite some really big obstacles he had to overcome. The word inspiring gets overused, but in this case it's a perfect fit.

That vid is a beautiful thing, such ease , we should all have that much fun wherever we get to ski
I had the luck to meet CR just over two years ago, didn't really even know who he was and tried his ski, when I came back raving he was so genuinely glad that I liked it -- in ten minutes he made an indelible impression on me -- peace to him and all who were lucky enough to know him wellyou know there ain't no devil,

RIP CR
I keep Sizzla's Wildest Dream on my ski playlist and it always reminds me of CR when it comes on and inspires me to rip.
