Want to replace old Rossignol B4s
Me 31, 150lbs 5'9" Ski midwest 15+ days and western resorts 5-10 days a year.
Skis own (like)
Rossignol S5 171 and 178 Love them.
Skis own (sort of liked)
Rossignol B4 - I had great powder days with ski, but now my S5 178 are almost as good in pow. I hate b4 on groomers and moguls.
Skis demoed (liked)
Rossignol S7 178- loved the ski, skied groomers and 6-24" powder, packed power. Seems to do everything great. Liked to load tails on jumps and rocket off jumps.
K2 Obsethed 178 liked this ski as well, but liked s7 better. Obsethed seemed heavier. Seemed good on groomers but tip slap was annoying on crud.
Skis didn't like Volkl Mantra, Gotama 2008 model - Too stiff, wasn't lively.
Looking to replace B4, I have S5 for everyday ski, but after skiing S7 I don't think I would mind skiing S7 as everyday ski. Why do I hate the B4 on groomers? I believe the sidecut (24m) was similar to the obsethed (23m). Maybe it was the farther back mounting point? Typically I like to straight-line bases flat as fast as I can. If I get into chopped snow, I will make tight turns to avoid biggest objects while still keeping skis mostly pointed down hill and trying to go as fast as possible. I feel like I have great technique, but I am light and would rather dart around objects than power through them. I also like to launch off natural features and cat tracks whenever possible. I play around switch once in a while, not as good as I would like, but I enjoy it.
Looking at S7 178, Sickle 186, Bent Chetler 183 and JJ 185. I am curious as to how the other skis work on groomers? The BC and JJ sound awesome from what I read, but the S7 was amazing on groomers and It would be nice to only have to bring one set of skis with me when I travel. I haven't skied the S6, seems like good option if not a little long for my taste, but is it as fun as the S7 in the pow?
Thanks in advance.

Add dps wailer 112, 4frnt yle and blizzard cochise to your list. For your use they are stellar skis, maybe better than the skis you have listed. And of course consider 4frnt hoji if you delay your choice go the next winter.
