Sorcerer Lodge 2012
Dodged warm weather in the coast by bailing to a Selkirks Hut (Sorcerer Lodge) for a week. We were self-guided but brought a cook.
More here from day 2 (day 1 was flyin and some tree runs)

More, more, more please. Was this the trailer or the whole TR. Felt like a teaser.
Regardless, I am sure it was an awesome trip. The Passion is in the Risk

It's just day 1 and 2 for now.
Some videos buried in the link. Contour footage in the low-angle part of the glacier right at the end. The steeper stuff is heavily crevassed -best to concentrate on proper lines there.

You suck Lee. I hope CMH buzzed you and poached all your lines from above and caribou invaded the hut.
That looked awesome. Glad to see Western Canuckistan and my old hardwood Selkirks getting some white love. Does this hut cross over CMH Gothics terrain? Edit - guess not - looks like Golden? Who flew you in?Last edited by mtnwriter; 02-16-2012 at 03:28 PM.

Great Canadian Heli. The tenure is just E of CMH adamants and shares with GCH but we ski steeper stuff than they do. Its N of Rogers Pass

Day 5
Iconoclast
http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/s...-5-iconoclast/
Lee was pining for this peak the last time we were at this Lodge but conditions didn’t even allow an attempt to get close. The conditions this week did. He was going to go the day before with a small group, but when that group grew he opted to ski with me, let them figure out the route and conditions and head up the next day if it was worthy! The other group reported wind swept, sastrugi not enough coverage to ski, worth the tour regardless, and the veiws were great!

The last Thursday and Friday were supposed to be socked in. So to the trees we go! Shreddies Bowl and Trees.
Turned out Thursday cleared up and we could do a final alpine run down Heppallumps.
Friday, not so lucky and we were shut out of the alpine. At least the Shreddies area offered some great low vis bowl and tree skiing.
