When should I take a week off?
when/where is it going to dump?
i've got some vacation time racked and i'm going to access it soon.
thinking late february / early march.
$ says use the pass in Summit / Eagle counties (CO).
but i could travel a bit to the south (Silverton/Wolfcreek/Monarch on the way out and back); but that would not be as cheap.
the snow trumps all (so i guess that means go south).
what say the weather mags?In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...

Couple southern resorts are participating in the 2 for 1 ticket at Shell stations in Colorado-namely Monarch, and Crested Butte.
Locals Appreciation day at Wolf Creek, meaning $33 lift ticket for all on Feb 29
Telluride and Durango been getting some good snow lately too!

In the same boat, but thinking of flying to Spokane and driving up to BC (decent rates into Spokane and Seattle right now with Southwest, at least from the EC). Subscribing though, as I'd still be interested in CO if it makes sense snow-wise.

We're heading to summit co. The 3,4,5,6. Going to ski vail cause we have some cheap passes. But if the snow is lacking and south is snowy we'll be ready for silverton/rango
