EC giddiness creates ankle problem...
I had to play Sunday so I took the bike to central park to look for little lines to ski. Decided to go down one of them on the bike and was sitting way back when I hit a drift and stopped dead. My left foot was off the bike, but my right foot was on the pedal and when I stopped I felt a sharp pain in the ankle (foot pushed back quickly). I was able to ride home without much pain, but today there's mucho pain (ankle, inside, under/below the bulgy knob of bone.), but there's hardly any swelling.
Any ideas what I've done to my uninsured ankle?...And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.

Well it sounds like you hurt it but I'm not an expert in these things

prolly just a sprain. If you can bear weight on it and it is not tooo painful, give it a few days. After a few days if it is killing you still go get an x-ray.
in the mean time ice for the first 3 days. After that switch to heating with ice only after activity/after work/being up on your foot for a long time.

3 month update:
I can walk and ride a bike no problem. Running causes pain on the "inner ankle bone"
I can't bend deeply on it either, the inside area closer to the achilles feels like it would pop if i bent the ankle further in deep knee bends.
I did learn the type of injury was a "forced dorsiflexion". I've read this can result in high ankle sprains which are a bit more serious with broken bone potential. I still don't have insurance and am beginning to get worried. Fuuuuuuuuck. What do x-ray's cost?...And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.
