3/8" diameter heli-coil?
I just f'd up...travelling and didn't have all of my tools. I was trying to countersink the 3.6mm holes with a 3/8" drill bit on the top sheet and one caught as I was going too quickly and drilled probably a quarter of the way through the ski.
If it was a 5/16" bit, I'd just throw an insert in...
Are there helicoils for a 3/8" hole? other options?
I'd rather not move the bindings, as I like where they're mounted and everything is drilled.
Ideas?

Oh fuck
Next time, countersink by twisting the big drill bit with your hand.
Maybe one of the pound-inserts is 3/8" or bigger?

t-nut up from the bottom?
Or clean up the mis-drilled hole as best as possible, cut a wood dowel to fit snugly in the hole and epoxy it in. Redrill, hope for the best.

3/8 wood dowel epoxyed in. Drill your new hole into the dowel. Easy fix.

You can get helicoils for any size thread. Just put one in our steigerizer for a 9/16 thread. Call a metal/machine shop near where you are and ask them where you might get one. You might have to cut it for the depth but it can be done and you might end up asking that shop to cut it for you.
