WTT/ testing waters: mint 191 Shoguns for something softer
So I bought 191 Shoguns blind, but now that I'm actually getting out on them, I feel like they are too stiff for me. They are stiffer than the shorter Shoguns, and really like to go fast. They stomp the shit out of landings too, wish my bigger skis felt that confident.
I am interested in.. Not really sure, but something that's softer, shorter radius, more forgiving, and in good condition. Around 90-110mm underfoot. I am a huge Icelantic fanboy, and would love to make a flock of them.
The skis were bought in fall 2011, brand new, last years graphic. They've seen 2 days of use on Ontario groomers, and 2 days at Kicking horse. Bases are 9.5/10, edges 9/10. Mounted once for Dynastar PX14 (IIRC same as a Look) at 336 BSL.

I doubt you'd go for this but I've got some pretty mint Scott P4's. Newest model. 6 or 7 days on them in the 191. Mounted for the same BSL. I could throw in some cash too if you'd want. I'm in California so shipping might be a bitch for both of us.

Actually it turns out that my P4's have a shorter radius. Yours are said to have a 28.7m mine 23m.
Let me know I've got pretty much the same binding on mine too. P14's

4th pic..wtf is that edge deal? Is that the seam? WTF underfoot?

4th pic shows some edge damage, and a couple scratches on the base. There is no edge seam there, the only thing I can think of you seeing is a little hair of base plastic sticking up over the edge.
SkiNebraski, I'll keep that in mind. I'm trying to get a ski that's a bit more manageable everyday, and 191's are a bit long for that. I also have no interest in going backwards at speed. Same BSL makes it awful convenient though.
edit: another picture of the place in question- knocked off the little hair of plastic

These are softer.

I have them mounted with Salomon Demo bindings. Skied on maybe 10 days by my dad who comes out to visit once a season. So needless to say they are in great shape. Size 188CM

191 Shoguns are awesome skis, and the OP is definitely right - they like to go fast and stomp the shit out of landings. Bump for killer boards just because I'm so thrilled with mine.

I have an almost identical setup that I'm thinking of selling. 191 Shogun, PX15 on the line for BSL 320. Bases are in a bit rougher shape, but not terrible. Price police? $400? $350?

Ding ding ding! Mine went for $350, but I think $400 is pretty fair too.
Caucasian- too much camber, not enough rocker. Oh, and I have no money. Hey, get your ass in the Rockies thread. It's already september, only 2 months till good skiing
