FS: 2011 Surly Pugsley, Size Small (16), Snowblind, Mint
My GF decided to stick to skate skiing. Her loss is your gain. Get out and ride in the snow...hopefully you have more where you are than here in SLC.
Stock spec,except for:
* DMR V12 Mag pedals, white
* Easton EA30 685mm high-rise handlebar
* 2x9 drivetrain w/white E13 Supercharger bash (will include stock big ring, if desired)
** The frame has been treated with Frame Saver. **
$1350OBO + $Shipping CONUS only, PayPal only. (FYI, given the size of this bike - specifically the wheels - I will need to ship it in two boxes; I thus expect shipping to be in the neighborhood of $100. However, I'll charge only exactly what it costs to ship, via the method of your choice (if not UPS).
Hit me up with any questions. Super fun bike (I ride an older model).
Cheers!

FACT: you don't express how much you want for this bike, thus I offer $3

This bike is easily worth over 1K. Considering the scarcity of these bikes, the wide range of riding applications and new accessories becoming available every day you might want to up your offer by a lot.
And bump. You are the mission Bob.

Scarce? Only in the sense that there are a finite quantity of them. Pretty easy to get one if you want it.

I'll give you an old ATI graphics card, some pretzel rods, and a crushed 24oz can that once held some Black Star double hopped golden lager. Looks like I've also got a few UNUSED, biodegradable poop baggies lying around (my dog likes to poop in the bushes). Let's see....what else do I have laying around on my desk...an old thumb drive, an emery board, a key chain. How about some thumb tacks? I bet this one time, you were looking for tacks all over the place and didn't have any. I have a solution to you problem. Let's talk.
No longer stuck.

Dammit. Forgive my being a moron. Must be the lack of snow in SLC.... I should have checked back here sooner. I had ASSuMEd the system would inform me about replies, as I subscribed to the thread. Guess not.
Anyhow, price is $1350-ish. OBO. I'll run any and all offers by the bike's redheaded owner. And being a redhead, I'll also be sure to do my best to capture her exact reactions/comments.

I'm looking into the PM thing... I'm a registered user, but I seem to be locked out of PM functionality. Anyone perhaps know why? Do I need to hit a minimum number of posts or something before I'm anointed with PM access?
Hit me up with any questions here, until I figure out the PM problem. I'll make it a point to check the thread frequently from now on...

...Oh, and the pretzel rod offer is TEMPTING....
I'll consult the resident Aussie/Border Collie mix about the unused poop bags. Biodegradability is a big plus, but she's pretty picky about that kinda thing....

OK, apparently I have to hit the arbitrary magic number of seven (posts) to be able to send/receive PM's. Would be nice if the FAQ mentioned that, or the error msg I and anyone else received would have mentioned that little bit of information...

FYI, the post count necessary to unlock PM's is purposefully left out of FAQ's to reduce spammers.

Looks like a nice clean bike. And Scottyb's correct - there is a shortage of 16" fat bikes out there right now - complete bikes aren't available through Surly until Feb 24, at the earliest. So, you'll either have to find a shop that has one in stock, build one from the frame up (typically more expensive), or find a used one.
Can't speak to the seller's identity. Being that the bike is located in SLC, hopefully someone local can snatch it up.
I can speak to the fun-to-ride factor of fat bikes. Everyone needs one. They're a bit like a pair of reverse/reverse skis. Necessary? Not by any means. Would you want it to be the only pair you owned? Probably not. About as much fun as you can have in 12" of new snow with a plank on each foot? Definitely.

Speaking as the proxy to the seller, as well as an owner of a older-model Pugs (non-Necro black, 80mm Vicious GFS rims, etc etc), willmtbike4food as absolutely correct. I bought mine last year - a bumper year for snow in SLC - and found myself enjoying it so much that I rode the 35 mile version of the Togwotee Classic in Moran last March. It was the most fun I ever had racing...and this from someone who hasn't thought much about racing anything that didn't involve a chairlift ride to the top, since 2002 or so.
These machines are way more fun than they should be. As well, I've found the bike handling dynamics involved have actually strengthened my dirt riding. I've gotten way more comfortable with two-wheeled slides and drifts, and that after almost a decade of DH'ing.
Given the dearth of snow here this season, I actually spent quite a bit of time riding my Pugs on dirt. It was much more enjoyable than I would have predicted. I certainly wouldn't want to DH one, or even venture forth on a particularly rocky and/or high speed trail, but for tooling along and just enjoying being out, it was a blast. Corning and climbing grip with fat tires is amazing. The boing-boing-boing feeling of several inches of undamped tire volume-only "suspension" on dirt is kinda funky at first, but I learned quickly enough to compensate. I actually found riding the fully rigid Pugsley something I liked more than pedaling my front-suspension steel HT.
YMMV, but IMHO fat bikes rock. I see a bright future for the market, especially if people can get over their initial pre-(mis)conceptions about them.
Cheers!

Worthy to note this model has the improved rear brake mount so as to make tire changes/flat fixes much easier along with a slightly better top tube angle.
