I am assuming that these "expert witnesses" were under oath.

Seeing as how the current Governor of Hawaii not only says that these documents are accurate, but that the Governor also knew both of Obama's parents and remembers when Obama was born... What is the recourse against a so-called expert witness who is flat out wrong ??

Can they be tried for perjury ??? Or do they just say "Ooops, my bad" and get away with saying anything they want..

It seems to me that the word of an elected state Governor would have some weight in court.

The experts are generally not testifying to facts, they're testifying as to their opinions. They probably didn't say "I know for a fact that the certificate is fake." Rather, they probably said something like "based on my knowledge of photoshop, I believe the certificate is fake for reasons X, Y, Z." Unless they're lying about their opinions (which is possible, but really hard to prove), they're not perjuring themselves.

I'll leave the formatting discussion to the experts.
