was wondering if you were still doing that gig. deeppo's hookup is solid, for anyone wondering. I stayed in a sweet room at the Camel's Garden 5 1/2 years ago (seems like it was more recent, but my now-wife was pregnant at the time and our daughter just turned 5, holy shit).

damn, our flights just fell apart for our original plan of Feb 17-21. Gonna have to try re-schedule for later. Are lodging prices likely to fall after the Prez. Day week anyway?

22in in 24 hours reported. Light snow yesterday much denser and more surfy today. It's pretty Damn good out there. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow we get some nice light snow now that the bumps are buffed out.

Anybody want to show an out-of-towner down reggae tomorrow? I've got avy gear and level 1 certification. Not an amazing skier by TGR standards but I don't think I'll have problems with the route from what I've seen. Would love to get into bear creek basin with someone responsible while I'm here!

I used to cut fish at Hongas back in 2006. My god was that place expensive but it costs a lot to get fresh fish from Hawaii delivered to Telluride in less than 24 hours not to mention your rent. Also in their defense it was the highest quality fish you could get not that I would actually pay for it.
If remember correctly a rainbow roll was around 25 dollars. There were local teen kids that din't have jobs but still came in 3 or 4 times a week to sit at the bar and have dinner.
I won't eats sushi any more anyway. The health of the ocean and especially the Pacific is questionable imo and uncooked fish can give you worms.

Good to know. We're looking now at week of Mar 9 - 13, but if a week later makes a big difference on rooms and flights I'd be open to that.
Just don't want to run out of the wintry season - hoping for powder, not spring skiing. Is it usual to still be getting decent storms mid-March?

Looks like we're drawing the worst possible forecast leading up to our trip...

Blame me...this happens to me every year. At least it looks dry as a bone in Tahoe so a change in scenery never hurts...
At least the weather will be nice for a few Palmyra hikes...between training my kids of course.

If you can't enjoy Telluride during spring like conditions and lots of snow, you're doing it wrong.
