No man, you're thinking of Ski Logic. Scotty Bobs are made in Silverton. Heck, the next time I'm up there I'll take a picture of some being made.
The Ski Logic guy (founder, whatever) worked for Scotty Bob and wanted them to go to Chinese production, but it didn't work out. So the Ski Logic guy started Ski Logic to make skis in China.

Let's just say some of Never Summer's clients were trying to hide the fact that their skis are made by someone else in a snowboard factory...and telling me how they are made by hand in some secret, underground lair somewhere in the mountains of Colorado. While still made in the USA, there was some deliberate attempt to mislead us during our discussion, haha.
