also send it to me and I'll make a version for the thread. If you have the bindings, you should be able to use them as a marking jig.

My need became much less urgent after Marshal helped solve my boneheaded fks problem. I still need a template if there's a pdf floating around out there, otherwise I'll get some plexiglass and do one myself. I'll get you the info if I go that route jondrums, keep up the good work sir!

The only really key measurement is the distance between the front set of holes and the front of the boot. Once you have that, everything else is easy.

I do have the template at home but I don't think I can get it to you quick enough.

I have been pestering Jason Prigge at MFD to just put the template up on the website already, but he hasn't obliged for whatever reason.

Thanks Splat. I contacted Blister/Jonathan who referred me to the article author Joe, who referred me to Jason at MFD with no luck so far. Anyone have templates for the two sizes they can get to me?

The plan is to redraw them and add them to the growing template library so others can compare hole layouts with current and future bindings.

I can't get to the shop until Monday. If its still outstanding then, I'll measure out the hole patterns for Terry and Jon.

I tried connecting with MFD and basically was blown off. So, Dee if you can send me a layout, I'll draw it up. A scan of each flavor MFD template would be ideal.

good luck getting a template through MFD. They are selling them, and I don't think they want them out for free online. Especially since their market is already the DIY crowd.

Worst part? they are charging 10 bucks a template.

Send me dimensions or a physical template and I'll get one made. If someone drops the $10 to buy one, do us all a favor and send it all ng to me after you're done.

I have one I can send.

I wrote them an email letting them know that there were lots of other people with the same frustrations when they can't take a binding into a shop to get mounted.

It also took them a week to even ship the template. Crazy.

To be honest they were the first pair of bindings I've ever mounted by myself and they were relatively simple.

Let me know where to send them. (I have saloman/atomic template. I'd say they are one in the same though.

If you could just add a few dimensions to the template, scan it or take a picture of it and post it, several of us could draw it up easily.

Great. If you are up for it, please add the dimensions to the template roughed out on this PDF 'worksheet'.

    TIA

At the risk of being pushy, has any progress been made? I need the template by Thursday...

I'll order one myself and make the measurements, but from the sounds of it even if I order from MFD today, it's timely shipment is questionable.

^^^ Stressing Preliminary and For Verification... they're my measurements and although I'm confident that they're accurate to my set-up, I don't want to be responsible for any misplaced holes if I screwed something up without knowing it.

Anyone with an unmounted MFD that can try using this to mount ON A 2x4 and let us know if it's right?

Definitely set the bindings on the preliminary template to see how it goes. I'm thinking you ought to be able to download your binding template as well, cut it to fit on the MFD to see if the toe line and the BCC line up correctly. Or simply screw your bindings onto the MFD and engage the boot and check if the BCC looks correct on the ski line without and then with the template to compare.

Please let us know and and progress pics would be great (including overhead close-ups of the toe, mid and end sections). Good luck Dr Guinea Pig.
