Deals for a father/son early, March spring ski week ??

Looking at flights right now and best I find is $460 per seat. Looking at $1,000 to just get out west not including any baggage fees. Any maggot insight on a cheaper plan ??

East coast locations that would be snow covered, Canada ??? Trip like that out west for 2 starts getting pricey.....

You could come to Alaska, we'll have great skiing then. Pretty cheap to fly up in the spring as it's not the popular season....

I was going to make a joke about how you could worship on the alter of Palin but I decided to keep it positive.

Southwest has $404.00 round trip for two Chi to SLC in early March for example. Seems reasonable if SLC resorts get snow. Plus no charge to take skis. Same ptice for Reno. Pray for snow. Portland a couple of bucks more.

Yeah Bummed Alaska would be very cool. Just looked at Tremblant in Canada, used to be about a $300 flight $670 now.

    Thinking:
    1. Park Cityish or SLC and commuting to the slopes (Canyons and the cotton wood canyon area slopes) each day right now. Car rental then though.

    2. Somewhere north in the states but no clue where.

    3. Or staying even closer and doing Snowshoe WV. It's the very last resort (no pun intended) choice for going somewhere for multiple days.

You could Amtrak it to Montana. That would be pretty sweet.

We need high speed rail. That trip wouldn't take so long in Japan or Europe. Not too expensive though just time intensive
