That's why I say "Hey mom - nice shot"
Another innocent scumbag needlessly gunned down by a bloodthirsty 2nd Amendment freak/mom/terrorist. When will the madness stop?Teen mom shoots intruder while on phone with 911
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A new mother from Oklahoma who shot and killed an intruder while on the phone with 911 said the dispatcher told her she couldn't shoot until the man broke into her home.
Her lawyer says she had every right to shoot the intruder and so far police agree.
"I wouldn't have done it but it was my son, gotta protect him," said Sarah McKinley.
"I walked over and got the 12 gauge, went in the bedroom and got the pistol, put the bottle in his mouth then I called 911," she said.
McKinley admits she shot and killed a man to protect her three month old son.
On New Year's Eve, police say two men, one armed with a 12-inch hunting knife tried to break into her home near Oklahoma City.
McKinley says she thought one of the men had been stalking her.
"He was from door to door trying to bust in...They said I couldn't shoot him till he came in the door," she adds.
The dispatcher is heard on the tapes saying "I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby."
The moment the intruder stepped inside, McKinley fired.
The last two weeks have been life changing for McKinley.
On Christmas Day her husband died of Lung Cancer.
While her son may grow up without his father, this is one little boy who will always know mom will do anything to protect him.
"I knew that I was going to have to choose him or my son and it wasn't going to be my son so I did what I had to do," she adds.

Still said for her, best possible outcome when someone breaks into your home.
I wonder if anyone helped her clean up the blood stained carpet, holes and gore on the walls.
If you are someone who would enter someone elses home, I want you to understand that you might die. Basic shit since humans have walked the earth
Side note, the article SUCK, the most important detail I want to know, did she use the 12 GA or the pistol. It does not even spcify that very important detail?Last edited by MTT; 01-04-2012 at 04:20 PM.

Break into my house or even enter my home without MY permission?
Expect me to empty the clip of my .40 cal into you and then I will phone for some sort of an ambulance.
It will arrive too late to be of much help except to remove the carcass.

FLUSHING, Michigan — Police told an Indiana TV news station the owner of the property where a Flushing teen was killed Friday fired the fatal shot.
Brandon J. Spangler, 17, was fatally shot in rural Shelby County, Indiana around noon as he played paintball with his father and three siblings.
The gunfire was reported to have come a nearby house, and police later told news station Fox 59 a 41-year-old who had previously given the family permission to use the property for paintball activities was the shooter.
According to the report, he told police he didn't realize the family was playing in the area Friday and thought he was firing at coyotes
Indiana Conservation officers said Spangler was pronounced dead at the scene southeast of Indianapolis.
Officers remained at the scene in Shelby County on Friday night questioning witnesses and residents.
Spangler's father and three surviving children were taken to a Shelbyville hospital for observation.Balls Deep in the 'Ho

Jfrost, all your example shows is how fucking stupid the shooter is/was. Granted, in hindsight it may have been a good idea to let him know they were back on his property playing paintball, but that still does not excuse him from confirming what something is before he starts blasting away at it. A person should have the freedom to shoot a gun on a large enough property in a rural area, BUT he is also held responsible for knowing what the fuck he is shooting at. It isn't the guns fault he is a fucking idiot. I for one do not need the government to tell me to wear a helmet, a seatbelt, etc, etc. I am responsible for my own decisions and will gladly be held accountable for them.

Right on 13 - remember that douchebag at Snowbird who plowed into that little girl a few years back and broke her leg and then ran away? Fucking stupid skier!!! That pretty much sums up all skiers! Skiing should just be outlawed!!!! In fact I'm gonna go to the main forum and bump every single TR with a reminder of how stupid skiers really are!!!!
This story is a classic example of everything that is righty with the 2nd Amendment. 13 - if you're ever in N WI you're perfectly welcomed to break into my place if you make it past the tripwires.

It's a sad reminder to gun owners to be sure of what they're shooting and what's behind it.

That German Shepard should be too ashamed to show his face on camera. I mean you got one chance to earn your kibble and you let the teenager try to juggle two guns, a baby, and a telephone?

Didn't the article say that two of the woman's dogs had been killed recently (adding to a ridiculously shitty holiday season for that woman - dead dogs, dead husband, dead rapist)? I assumed that the German Shepard was one of them and that the picture was from before the incident.

A gun is just a tool, a very simple tool that accelerates a small piece of metal in one direction. Any fucking idiot with simple tools can make one.
Until we decide as a nation to stop focusing on the particular tool of convenience and trying to limit access to said tool and actually start focusing on the human problems that are behind the behavior nothing will change. Gun crime is just like drug usage and a 1000 other things, the focus is on the wrong aspect of the crime. You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

to shoot, or not to shoot - there is no doubt that if that property owner in the dumb unrelated story posted here didn't have a gun, an innocent life would not have been lost. Guess what, that doesnt change the fact that a gun may have saved a life in the OP story, and likely many other stories. Maybe the good things and the bad things equal out or maybe guns save far more lives than they end? Who knows, but when it touches you one way or another you don't really care about averages and stats do you?... jfost is really ignorant, he often just needs simple facts laid out for him...
