Personally, I love the whining. It always seems to bring more snow.

No, chair 3 at Afton Alps. Can't remember the name of the run. We used to huck the cat track on the left hand side of photo, over the gapers, then land on the shitty, icy transition.

My locally mountain has 17 of 34 trails open. The guns have laid down a 32" base on a few of them already. I'll be out to see you fuckers later in the season after Ullr starts smiling.

Until then, shut your fucking mouth!

Hi St. Jerry! I would like to chime in and educate you on the Northeast, home of the gnarliest snowriding in the USA! You have to get out of Manhattan and head north however instead of going to Pennsylvania. Come up to New England where the partying is unmatched anywhere, what with a plethora of hot New Jersey Italian babes, buxom Irish gals from Boston, stunning French knockouts from Montreal not to mention the sophisticated NYC talent as well as Long Island Lolitas. In addition, the snow, weather and terrain are highly underrated, and the setting is truly Norman Rockwell-esque! If you can shred here, you can shred ANYWHERE. When you score your first Killington powder day in "Anarchy", "The Throne", "Chop Chop" or "Patsy", you will be grinning from ear to ear, I promise you! There is also lift-serviced mountain biking in the summer and the autumn colors are unmatched anywhere on the planet. I would also like to take this opportunity to formally invite all the lurkers(and non-lurkers alike)to come join our fun-loving but responsible bunch of snowriding aficionados who know the benefits of what good moderation brings to an on-line community. I think most all of you will find that our seasoned moderators "keep the bar high" by maintaining a sense of order and decorum, while encouraging quality discussion about our favorite pastime. It may take a small amount of getting used to, as we do have reasonable standards as far as language and image posting that are strictly enforced. The registration is easy and painless, and the rules will be explained in detail during the process. I will warn you however up front that registering an ALIAS is strictly "VERBOTEN", and something we have zero-tolerance with. If you are tired of the juvenile goings-on at TGR and Newschoolers and yearn for a snowriding forum that matches your maturity level, all I can say is: "Come join the fun"!

I'd like to hang that guy by the ankle from the Superstar lift, oh, about 15 ft down, and listen to him scream as he scrapes bottom over the mid section.

Mammoth this season reminded me of the skiing I grew up doing.

Despite the talk of icy groomers, I remember at least having lots of mogul runs to ski. There are some places where you don't even get that.

Uh, no. That is just flat out not true. I grew up in the east, and moving out west showed me that I was not nearly as good a skier as I thought I was. If the runs back east were as steep as the stuff at, say, Squaw, you might have a point. Moving out west will take your skiing to another level, and that is a fact.

Wow Benny - you must be getting shit for tips lately for your size 46 man-panties to get so twisted.

That EC Guy Who Actually Skis vs. Benny Complain exchange was the best thing I've read here in months.

    Are people taking alpinezone seriously?!

    Hahah. JONGS.

And Randolph Duke: STFUYFM. Your argument was crap. The OP was clearly talking about the "typical EC experience" not your bros-only BC thicketeering exploits.
