A Tahoe Chrismas Eve TR
Spats and myself headed to the slopes in the morning and started with some Groomers
That got boring quick so it was time to head out the gates for some side country
We roped up to navigate this glacier
Then dropped into the burn area
Time for another lap, It's cool I got a pass
Same Zone from last year around this time, please let it snow!

I've got a bunch of pictures to upload, but the TGR image uploader is broken...no matter what, it says "This is not a valid image file." So my contribution will be delayed until TGR fixes their broken forum software.
Yeah, it was ironic to be doing Firebreak on a bicycle. SNOW DAMMIT

It's the worst I remember since I started skiing in Tahoe in 84. Been times were theirs not much more open at this time a year but a least there's enough snow that biking really is not feasible.
The Manzanita & White thorn are evergreens here in the Sierra's, but yea FTW they should be covered in snow!

oh man,
we're headed out from the 1st until the 8th. Flights and condo have been locked in since Sept. Looks like the north side maybe a bit better?
