wow... seriously 4 years went WAYYYY to quick. NPG is skinny now too. Some signature moves are too good/bad to live down.

The more I ski the BG's, the more I love them. I'm constantly amazed at how easy it is to put my edges exactly where I want to. It's insane how well balanced and nimble they are, while still being able to charge in a most stable and confidence-inspiring manner.

Had a fun day on the bg's today at Vail. Found some soft snow and fresh tracks. My buddies called the snow heavy, but I felt like the bg's were right at home. Unfortunately, i hit a decent sized rock and ripped a small chunk out of the base near the edge. Not too happy about that. Can't wait to see how they handle tomorrows new snow!

How is the groomer performance on the new BGs? I loved my OG BGs everywhere except where the show got firm. I would not lock them into a high angle two footed carved turn. Every time I tried the uphill ski would make a slalom turn while the downhill one make a GS turn. I know the design of the BGs has changed drastically so I am wondering how they manage the corduroy now.

They work, just as well as any other 115+ mm ski, but don't expect them to hook up like a sub 90mm carving ski. You can definatly lock them on to bigger turns though.

I heard some qualms about the older BG's and potentially squirrelly hard-snow performance. Coming from Lotus 120's as my daily drier for two years, I wasn't too worried about groomers anyway, but the BG's far exceeded my expectations. I feel very comfortable ripping groomers on them, much more so than the 120's. Some of that probably has to boot with my new, tighter fitting boots as well.

Also, I saw a pair of what looked to be 191's sitting on the rack outside Two Elk this past weekend at vail. I think it was sunday. Any of you peeps?

After the awesome Wasatch storm cycle this weekend, I'm glad to say I have absolutely no lack of float in deep snow. These things charge so so so hard, the medium flex tip planes swimmingly, and the stiff midbody sucks up moderately covered bumps from days past like it aint no thang. I love these skis so fucking much. I want everyone to try them.

One thought: I didn't even really think about until now, but I had to switch from a Tecnica Cochise (320mm) to a Tecnica Inferno (315mm), so I'm essentially mounted +.5. Still not even close to having float issues. By monday, I felt very comfortable committing to some pretty speedy straightlines.

Have much range in the heel track? I'd love to take these for a spin at the bird someday but I'm a 335 BSL. Have 188 praxis protest, 186 bibbys, 192 bent chetler, 189 pontoons, spatulas (with sally demos) if the boot fits, feel free to take any for a spin

I haven't really been keeping up on the gear rumors, are the 2013's much different?

Just spent the night testing them back to back on very hard, variable snow at skibowl. The changes we've made definitely result in a pretty different ski. The 11/12 191cm BG was a huge leap forward in performance and stability, but the 12/13 191cm BG is honestly as solid as anything I've skied. I am as comfortable on it on hard snow as I am on 191cm wrens.

Hell...I was skiing a 186cm Tychoon tonight (98mm underfoot) and was ripping bigger, faster, more aggressive turns on the BGs than the tychoon (which is definitely still very stable, but has a much smaller turn radius so is happier making tighter turns).

The 12/13 BG just trucks down the mountain. I am so stoked on it. It feels a bit straighter than the 11/12 for sure, but the skis just fly and in soft snow, you still get the lack of hookiness and turn freedom you do with the 11/12 but with even more stability.

I have two days on them now...in VERY different conditions. Mini-review tomorrow for everyone, I promise.

In short, these fucking SLAY in almost every turn shape, any speed, and I am completely shocked at how stable these are at mach looney in 4 to 8 inches of windblown, chopped shmear.
