peter's point. pierre's is the lift. as far as barney's goes, i think its somewhere in between the ramp and lower sampson bowl. i say this cus the slide path was visible from the virtues. yesterday i talked to the first on the scene and he said he dropped the virtues and skiied over to the dude as soon as he saw the debris settle.. apparently went for a ride over some pretty burly cliffs. something like 50 ft high.

if it is in fact peter's point, thats where the guy and girl went for a ride in december and suffered several injuries.

Couple vids from the Headwaters Runoff. Sorry for the crappy quality. First and 2nd place men's snowboard runs. I had to take off before the skiers, unfortunately.

    Congrats to Erik and Chance!

Also extremely strong and aggressive runs by Mitch and Nate who both would have placed if not for slightly dirty landings.

Haven't seen this posted here. Great view of the Little Cooler.

First two runs down Marx and Lenin yesterday were all time greats. So deep and fluffy up there. Restored my faith in that place, I take back everything I said about last Tuesday.

    Today was strange.

    Missed yesterday, dammit!

But today made it up to the tram by 11:00 and the line was big (50 minutes). Ran into some old friends in the line and we were in the same cabin so we elected to have a look at the Dictator Chutes.

Got to the Lenin roller and looked down 1st Dictator and WTF!!!! There wasn't a track on it.

Only one thing to do, so the 6 of us put tracks all over that sucker. It was so good we had to do it twice more.

Not bad for the day after epic.

That makes me laugh. Last run of the day I came over the rollover and looked down first Dictator and thought that looks untracked. I honestly thought I was not seeing things clearly. I headed for it. But right below the rollover it was a little scoured, and at the last second I veered right into the next chute....leaving it for you and your gang, apparently. Glad you enjoyed it!

Brother wife and I were in that tram line. It's been years since I've skied BS. The tram line is quite the fucking fashion show now eh? Almost rivals Peak chair. Almost. But was enjoyable to watch.

We got near first tracks in otter slide and Marx. Pretty damn good.
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

Ayep, all of a sudden the Really Big is on the Radar.

Lots of good (seemingly) and affluent skiers making the scene and the lines.

Seen more packs with shovels/probes, ABS packs and avalungs in the tram line than ever before.

Oh well, it is what it was.

Eco, Im not really sure how that could be interpreted as a complaint.. more of a pleasant surprise as i didnt get up to the mtn til about 10 30 and expected it to be tracked. and it was the opposite. Fully aware of the reasons, just still trying to wrap my brain around them..

Should be plenty of season left after you are done in the coal mines. Stay safe dude, hope you and A can get shreddy this week!

Some sweet spine turns after the 2 feet that slid off everything else.

    Great photos.

Somebody took a long tumble down second gully yesterday at Big Sky and was helicoptered away from the base...if anybody has an update on this person's condition, please post. Thanks.
