Bun thanks for all the work you and your crew put in at ML this year. What's in store for your summer?

There was some coral reef action off Challenger this am at Big Sky. Everything else was slowly opening up. Heading back out after 1. Definitely was excited to wake up to fat flakes falling through the sky this morning.

It's serious dust in crust up here right now. Not a ton of fun. But it is nice to see snow

Went to big sky today - my bad, should've just stayed home. Conditions were awful - don't waste your time up there right now.

Funny.. because I was rather enjoying the over-the-head, wind-assisted, full-on face shots in the North Summit today. Couloir wasn't bad either.

    PERSPECTIVE.
    Stay left.

The afternoon at Big Sky was pretty sweet IMO. Went up to the peak, couldn't see shit. Decided to come down Liberty to get some visibility back. Then did a couple laps on Shedhorn. Snow was perfect for high speed flow turns. Is what it is. April 1st baby

Gullies were the titties today. Lenin and Marx were also putting smiles in my face. Overall fantastic day with the sun shine.

Was that by chance a mag skiing with a camera harness on his chest this am at the top of Challenger? Coming from Moonlight side?

Hey Bunion or anybody else, how did the Headwaters hold up in the heat today? Thinking of heading up tomorrow for the $25 deal if the Headwaters are still skiing well. Thanks.

The heat is helping. On Monday the HW were terrible, 10" of fluff on what resembled a meteorite.

They have been improving and if it remains warm and sunny, should be decent today.

Welp ... the winter storm watch is calling for nearly 16 inches in the mountains by Friday. Will it be blower or will it be cream cheese gloop?

Mountain biking today in 65 degree weather and skiing a foot of pow on Friday. Spring in Montana ...

Or...and I'm not trying to jinx anything here, just going by the pattern the rest of the season has set...the storm won't materialize and it'll snow about an inch.

It has been that way every season I have lived here. Difficult to predict in this area, hella. The topography/MSO high reeks havoc on our meteorologists.

For the first time this season (I think), the winter storm watch has increased the project snow totals to nearly two feet with areas approaching 26 inches.

I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Just got back from a morning session. Conditions are pretty rough at the moment. Did some laps off Challenger and it was serious dust on crust. The last couple days of 65 degree weather nuked the hills and left a solid chunk underneath the 6 inches that has already fallen. Headed over to lone peak triple and it was basically like skiing blind. Super thick cloud. Liberty bowl is the only thing open off the tram, and it's probably a bit treacherous.

    Tomorrow should be floaty.

Man, I hope. I just checked the Big Sky webcams. What did I see? Full on, clear blue skies. Not a cloud in sight. How's that for an anti-jinx?

I guess I don't have to decide where I should go skiing tomorrow because it's obviously not going to snow at all.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

The anti-jinx worked. Cooke was the deepest snow I've ridden all year, yesterday. Didn't bring skis, just sleds. Saw one small group in the morning near Lulu then nothing but our tracks till 6:30 pm. Fucking awsome!!!

Sounds like Diebert did you right?

Edit to add, today is our closing day, supposed to be sunny & nice.

I have 2 comp passes left from my stash.

Both will be at the season pass office with the name Maggot on them.

Someone please put em to good use.

Dodged a bullet for sure. Strained ACL and very minor tear in MCL that should heel itself over time. Diebert gave sound advice for sure. Just been riding a lot and pt. Was up at MLB the beginning of the week (3rd ski day in 2 months), skied with one of your emps, (Benes). Good times despite the dust on crust.
