"These are some real live mountain outlaws getting after it this week at Bridger!"
I thought the only mountain outlaws sold real estate in Big Sky?

Anyone else gonna be up and about at Moonlight this weekend for the FWT? I'm shooting and picking up my media credentials tomorrow. Bunion, any beta on the venue you think a photographer might find useful? Dunno how much they're going to give us at checkin/inspection tomorrow.

I think the FWT coming to Moonlight is awesome. Great way to promote the terrain at Moonlight. I will be a spectator on Saturday in the bowl below The Headwaters. My GF and I plan on taking folding chairs up the Six Shooter if the lifty's allow it. Hopefully it will be sunny and we can work on our surfer tans...
or dumping so we can slay the pow...Last edited by Harry; 03-22-2012 at 01:32 PM.

I'll say hi if I spot you. I'll be somewhere up in the venue most of the day. Headwaters were skiing great today. Some pictures of the registration/inspection day.

Yeah this is the second year in a row I have missed the headwaters comp for something stupid.
Didn't even get up the tram once this year...
Anybody know if donkey slot or the upper pockets have been opened yet this year?"You'll never regret listening to and trusting yourself. But, you'll never have enough money if that's what you pursue as your means to get what you want out of life." -Gaijin

FYI for all you comp riding fools, I have a brand new POC spine protector you can come grab in Bozeman for 50 bucks tonight... be safe!

Well, you have'nt missed all of it yet. This weekend is the FWT, next weekend is the 7th Annual Headwaters Spring Runoff. Same venue, just more local. If I remember right, Jamie Pieere was the MC last year.
Any chance you will be feeling better in a week ? The Headwaters Runoff is always a good time."Zee damn fat skis are ruining zee piste !" -Oscar Schevlin

haha, no that is what I thought the event was actually! What was going on today? Also, the prognosis is crutches, a boot or a brace till mid-May. So probably not next week...
EDIT: I skied a couple runs with Jamie last season... it really sucks I won't be able to ski with him this year. He and his kid were really cool."You'll never regret listening to and trusting yourself. Fortunately he stayed on his line and missed that rib.
Pretty impressive showing by the entire field yesterday.
Todays venue and event should really be cool.

Looks like results from the Moonlight Basin FWT competition are up: http://www.freeskiingworldtour.com/2...final-results/
Found a photo gallery as well: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...0704164&type=1
As a casual observer of the apparent rivalry between folks at Bridger and those down on Lone Peak, I found it interesting that Bridger skiers finished #1 and #5, and also won the Sickbird award.Last edited by MT; 03-24-2012 at 08:27 PM.
