Fortunately, it's $450 MAP (which is what everybody will sell it for). Same as the Duke.

Who would have thought something could possibly be as ugly as skis are these days...at least DPS and PM Gear have some style, and don't look like your girlfriend's cat hurled rotten mouse guts all over your skis.

Oh well, who cares. It's all about the down.

The 97 and the 107 skied very nice and didn't really feel like a 20m radius ski. It was happy making bigger swooping turns and straight lining anything, super stable but ready to be nimble at a moments notice. the flat pintail was powerful without locking you into your turn like the LP105.
Good to hear. Love my LP115's, but it's hard to recommend them to customers unless I'm convinced they charge and have a command of traditional ski technique . . .

Glad to hear people saying they liked the Cham series. I actually heard the opposite from most people I talked to. It seems to be a pretty polarizing ski. People either really liked it or wanted nothing to do with it. Not much middle ground, kinda like the BBR.

So Salomon and Atomic are growing into each other? First the bindings, then the tracker/guardian, now that boot?

My understanding is that their design departments are across the hall from one another.

    what is "that boot"?

pretty sure nothing is shared aside from bindings and WC race skis.

Truth. The boots are nothing alike. The boots that look the same in those photos are not alike at all.

I am pretty sure that Atomic is still based in Austria, and Salomon is certainly based near Annecy. Reading the discussion about the Rocker2 115, and the Automatic would certainly suggest that in general they do not have anything to do with each other development wise.

Ghost with a custom-shell part in the forefoot? And an Atomic paintjob?

That's not a CS shell. It's Atomic Live fit. Besides having 2 buckles, and made out of plastic I don't see it being all that similar.

Is this LiveFit you speak of any different from CS? Please elaborate!

From what I have read Live Fit does not get custom molded to your foot. I think it just adjusts when you put it on, and as your foot flexes, and moves it continues to adjust. If this is the case I do not know how it feels to ski in a boot that is not rigid through the 6th toe area, but obviously it is different to the Salomon CS.

What was said is that reaction to the ski is very polarizing, like a BBR, not that the ski is like a BBR. I know everyone on this forum has a boner for the Cham skis, but there are a lot of people out there (who have actually skied them) that didn't think very much of them, in addition to the people that liked them. Different strokes for different folks.

There is also a BBR 10.0 for next year that is NOTHING like the 8.9 that is out this year or any of the Cham skis.

There are also people who didn't think very much of the explosive, xxl, and wrenegade. those people seem to like the bbr.

Other than DPS and 4FRNT, all of the skis in that link are ugly.

They're making Black Diamond's geometric design topsheets look attractive.

I wouldn't say there are a ton of people here who even give shit about the Cham's.
