    wife is having boot pain

ok this might have been down before but...

First wife rode 165 sally prs last season and loved them.

    This year
got the wife some freerides and mounted them on a pair of 167 phat luvs.

the problem is she feels funny on them and gets pain in one foot.

Question I dont think she like the hieght of the freerides so should I take out the front shim?

Has anyone had boot pain like? Her boots have never been a problem she says they fit like gloves.

Any help would be great I wnat the wife to rip the same as last year.

try the shim thing, it is changeable without redrilling.

have the boots packed out a bit too much? 1-2 cm behind the heel of the shell?

Did the PR's have freerides too?

the Prs had sally 900s bindings on them.

I think I will try the shim and yes the boots could be packed out a bit but she says they feel fine.

    Try some cuff adjustment

Chances are that she may also want to check the cuff adjustment. Good chance that with the new skis she is not riding them flat, and as a result, she is putting too much pressure in a few places. Check the cuff adjustment (also called canting by some shops) and make sure it is right.

She's using Diamir Freerides with alpine boots?
If so, why? You're not having her skinning in alpine boots?.(I hope), that'll give her the pain....they're not that versatile.
Ditto on the cuff alignment. Feet change year to year, maybe hers has changed/grown...in some place(s)....needing some boot work.
