the southern resort was loaded with folks from Alpental yesterday celebrating the spring conditions.
first trip for me in a gondola was ok but trip 2 the bucket stops and heats up pretty fast. i am sure that much bidness and fun da mental has been enjoyed inside.
little lot 4 get together with a dozen of us was worth the pdrive
occupied a space near the snorting elk but we never made it inside, asphalt instead of septic was nice for people but the dogs got bored quick.
spent most of our ski time on iceburg and around green valley, softness abound.
till next week

The sk8 has been an annual Spring, hyak touring thing for me.
The dogs get held back by -h-, I ride down the hill and stop, and see releases them.
It's like doggy drag races, and funny as hell to watch.
Looking at occupying next weekend.

if i can get a ruff head count i can do.
got a prime spot next to handicappers last weekend but not the best place to gather.
nice snow field area parking between chapel and lodging to occupy, looks real good with more room to spread than main lot areas.
what say the locals

That might be restricted parking area. Hard to tell how much enforcement they'll do this time of year. Chances are not much. A few rows back from disabled and you're prolly good.

thats what it appeared to be like last weekend, good looking area to back into for some peace.
enforcement was kids directing cars into spots from A lot back.

Fellow lot 4'ers, Saturday looks like the day to head south. If interested in potluckin' for lunch, we should meet at the Mather Memorial pullout off 410 (the big, paved area south right off the highway--looks like a rest area, but only with an information board and trees for facilities) then caravan up the boulevard. We all get parked together and can bring a little lot 4 to lot A. If lucky, management will realize they should have just kept Alpental open through Memorial Day to keep us where we belong.
8:00? Earlier? Later? Any interest?

...the partial occupation of the A lot by the padded seat followers of lot 4 was the feel good story of the day followed by the cuties in neon as a close second.
the corny soft snow conditions will be judged on it's goodness alone which was top notch spring quality.
but really it is the people who make it worth the drive, hell anyone can tour alone.
wonderful day folks to be in the mountains with family and friends, ach, mofro, buster, piste, greydon, jtgoat, josh all the fams. and the snosk8 crew and the various other k00ks training for alaska.
thanks
