sad testament to how infrequently i've been able to be in lot 4 on Sat/Sun over the last month+ that i had no knowledge of this encroachment until ACH brought me up to speed on Ch2 Wednesday. Wishing i could help with the occupy efforts but slackey jr #2 is due any day now thus my go play @ Alpy pass is temporarily revoked.

saturday lesson theme is dress in fur day, uncle shawns dogs may mistake a skischool grom as a threat and then the fireworks will fly. scratchnclaw vs. sauvignonman each protecting their kids
captain chaos couldn't get a more polar opposite matchup.
next week looks good for hanging out with new snow
esp. at stevens pass mountain resort and spa

just like the dc occupy mvmt., the lot 4 occupation was shortlived and underfunded.
snow was wet and sticky, splattering the mtn.
will return soon

heading out into the mist to find where the new snow may fall.
the hack, maybe acres or will the adventure lead to chair 2, the snow will tell.

so many folks took my advice that chair 2 never got crowded even on a great day with new snow.
someone else needs to get a memo on how to put in the high traverse. high doesn't mean hug the cliffs, just follow it out horizontally from the waterfall past sharons bowl towards safe not safe tree. proceed gradually across and towards knoll 3 tree.
round the corner and push across snowfield following this trajectory towards piss pass sled.
hope that helps

While well intended by the guy who put it in I'm sure, that's the worst high-t I've ever seen.
If you are ascending any more than a gentile climb out to Chips, you'll end up loosing all that elevation at the rock just before.
most of the climbing (still gentile at best) on the first section happens just after Chips, running to just above the "unsafe-safe-trees"...
When it's done right and packed down it should be a quick skate the whole way out.

Stoked for tomorrow, and will probably risk career advancement to snag Wednesday.

can't wait to see where this leads.....

on another note, after looking at the wind shift the last few hours, it appears the eastern influence is beginning to override the western flow.
