grooming machine made it half way up edelweiss last night.
much less wind today as well as more people.
moonscape snow features from the wind are huge and awesome, like snow waves that can be ridden up and back down their face. great snow conditions inbounds if you like that kinda stuff.

Tour of low expectations today...
Dipped into the Denny side for a couple of aspects + the wonder gully,
all of which were highly variable and for the most part skied like garbage (bottom of Bryant's which actually skied pretty well).
Snow as wind and sun fucked. Still had fun though...
Good company and quite an adventure at times through some no fall zones with some blustery conditions to add to the ambiance.

just about zero visibility at times made for an interesting ride down the mountain. 2" on top of hardpack made little difference in cushioning the firm.
last weeks goods seem like a long time ago

Today was stealth Saturday at Alpental, only stood in line twice at chair 2, less than 5 minutes each time, every other time, skied right on. Nash was firm, but fun. The bowl skied pretty damn good... Can't wait for lesson season to come to an end though, the parking cluster, not to mention just getting from the lot to the lift is starting to get a little old.

timing is everything in this lift line game isn't it. surprisingly this time it was good.
got out of the fog by going to no fog.
took the whole family whilst things were cool

No lessons next weekend, but the holiday + mid winter breaks could make it worse if the snow is good. The spring skiing the last couple days has been surprisingly good. My 6 year old got his first ride up chair 2 today. Makes a dad awful proud.

didnt head out until late morning to let the snow pile up. seemed to work out pretty well. obviously not enough to bury all the hard stuff but still some great turns were had.

found a nice stash of god snow today that was fun to ski on.
creamy on the mellow aspects and piled up at the bottom of the chutes.
good visibility and not too sun damaged xcept direct south aspects. no crowds good workers.
