    Yeah, I feel your pain.
My turn on the flatbed was last week from Crystal.
Repair bill hits on Monday, can't wait.

Yup, rode the 200n's up here today as well.
Width = double edged sword at times up here.
The 189 carries a lot of snow on the tip when it's wet and sticky out.

Must be the season for auto repair bills. Right front axle replacement, right rear bearing replaced, oil change, $550 later and I WILL make it to and from Baker tomorrow.
I'm also planning on a return to Cinco De Mayo. If a season pass is on the line for best costume again this year I have a plan.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

bring your A game fiddler because you'll have a couple other tacos trying to take the whole enchilada.

chair two was the vehicle to the fun snow today, debbies offered up trap crust and groomers while 2 led us to some new.

    no crowds or stress

snow is flying all around this morning at pass level, maybe enough to cover the debris left behind by control work this week.
    happy april fools day.

turned in to a winner today even with a couple gaper gaffs mixed in.
unexpected first chair with young partner led to sweet turns down a steep chute filled in by last nites wind. softness throughout the day with no crowding anywhere.

    Excellent day today.
    Way exceeded expectations.
Left the padded seats around 2ish to close Hyak for the season.
Everything blanketed in white, hard to believe it's 4/1 and the place is closing.
Farewell little hill to the East, until next season.

So sad! I hope that we get one more low snow level storm for some good pre-work skinning over there.

Elevator boredom set in about 12:00 on Saturday. I headed over to Hyak for some lumpy mash potatoes and had a great time. It’s too bad they have to close.

hyak does not just go away, poof its gone, the chair just stops loading to public. to a certain crew, hyak is just re-opening and alot of weekend dogs are going to be happy. similiar occurrance at a little hill on the other side of the crest except the weekday dogs get the area.
142% snowpack so nash is going to be around for awhile with a thick blanket of snow.

Keeping this on the front, where it belongs.

Interesting day starting with a tour up the Commonwealth, back early to the car at 230 which allowed for a short drive and two laps in the BC. Conditions far exceeded expectations.

fun riding in the bc and a great day to take yer kid out of school for some mtn. schooling.
...purging of the lifties has been in full swing this year. poor fun da mental protocol axxed most, social skilz were the demise of others. tough line of work with so many overlapping personalities and egos to caress.

Pockets. Side pockets. front packets, corner pockets. Pocket skiing Thursday at Alpental was the word of the day. Seems like the warm up left a wide range of different crusts and snow densities all over. Anything south facing was cooked to a crispy crunch. But even aspect wasn't the r00l. Nash skied really well top to bottom and had been pretty hard hit. Right side upper was the best. Snakedance skied well down to the lower half where elevation played a warming role recently. But the best in bounds lines were wrapped all the way around Edelweiss west bowl in what must have been shade for some shin rubbing whiteness. Finally managed to find a partner to do the BC and scooted out to just the N. side of the Cleaver. Again, anything with South aspect was crust, but N. aspects were sweet.

more than fat snowbanks have been hinting of a laaaaate closure if ou get my drift.
...expectations were met today and the travel in the slackcountry was quick as long as the feet kept moving. small point releases but the cornices remain intact, east wind helped keep higher elevation snow from holdin much moisture.

the east wind at alpental rules
unless the westerly flow decides otherwise
