after waiting out the hardpack till late morning i led my little crew of 2nd graders up and over the waterfall and scooted them out to piss pass.
took a little capri sun break and photo op. to recharge the dudes and schmoozed down draft dodger to the hummex and creamed some spires to the valley below.
the little dudes did great
....the sand n gravel and rocks on the cattrack above lot 4 is retarded for a ski area with 30 foot snowalls surrounding the lot.
shit needs to be taken away or covered up not left like a big shit stain accross the hill
just my opinion and does not reflect the views of anyone that does not agree.
my disclaimer

Sad day, just learned that a skier died from a heart attack on Nash this afternoon.
Condolences to family and friends, some of which I apparently know.
The gravel sucks.
Who ever groomed yesterday made an effort to cover it but it melted off by 2pm.

the padded seats appear to be getting splattered by wet globby flakes, the type that stick to everything till they dont. this could significantly help fill in the cavernous bumps when loads of this snow pound upper mountain the next few days. jetstream moving back north where it belongs.
probably going to need the rainsuit down low

Padded seats were lonely yesterday.
A handfull of diehards were on the hill, conditions ranged from just OK to meh...
A lap out to PP yielded some nice turns to be "stoked" about.

Thanks, sort of a non event.
What with craptastic weather, and things more or less closed.
I just worked. Clear skies are giving way to clouds from the West.
H put together a nice evening though.

Too bad the weather has been craptastic as of late.
Looking back, the mid Feb-March run we had was one of best pow skiing periods I can recall.
- Pow filled Vertfest
- Endless deep elevator laps
- Skis dragging at the top of 2
- Little Annie's filled in enough to ski through

when mofro chimes in he'll confirm a very memorable moment. his play by play recap the next day on site made me jealous,
then it snowed for six weeks in a row and all was well.
ready for a few more resets though

Nearly a reset in Stokes today.
Lower areas just of knoll zed have softened up.
Include the bit of new on top, the skiing was pretty fun.
Trash can is skiing soooooo good right now.

today was a chance to experience country club riding in the PNW with endless refills on the mountain.
the padded chairs began spinning on time while the guests began trickling towards it. never did get busy but sure snowed hard.
cruised around with cyril from the south, a long time friend displaced to kirkwood a few years back. he doesn't mind losing his pass so i kinda lost him around noon
h
hope we ride again tomorrow

well at least you made it home by yourself today, i just get another heavy repair bill. was told i may drive my vehicle a bit hard, shop asked why there was so much sand and gravel in the engine compartment? muttered something about the shit stain on the cattrack. then explained that the roads have not been clear and dry much this season

driving sucks when its not me driving
