    POV of Verbier avi burial

Searched, didn't find it. Hopefully not a repost. Cant embed for some reason. The guy had a moment when he probably thought he was okay, then the bulk of the slide came through and set up like concrete. Jesus that stuff happens fast.

Can anybody translate? It would be interesting to hear their assessment just before starting down.

Not sure why I carry a shovel, I've got one on each foot, right?

Terrifying. Not sure trying to yell is the best idea, though.

I'm also a little skeptical he was 2 meters down since it didn't look like those guys had avy gear (since they were digging him out with skis), so they probably found him because part of him was sticking out on the surface.

Wondered the same, looked like there was some light coming through the snow - I haven't been buried, not sure if I'd want to be even as an excercise but 1.5 - 2m under I would've figured little to no light would get through.

scary stuff. two takeaways: 1) remember the airpocket, 2) try to keep moving if you are still on top after the intial slide settles - #2 isn't far behind (in practice probably tough).

Definitely scary. Pretty disheartening to see them digging with their hands and skis.

Did any of you watch this monster in the links on the same page?
