Republicans can't win irregardless
Totally fuct, right?
Newt=unelectable (but leading) and not truly interested in the job (I had assumed this was his version of a book tour)
Mitt=best candidate for the general but unelectable with the batshit crazy primary Republican voters, and has reversed every position he's ever taken
Cain=fucks everything that moves nine times, then nine times, then...
Perry=even dumber than GWB, and proud of it--too dumb even for Repub primary voters (is this possible?)
Paul=unelectable because he's insane, plus believes the U.S. economy should operate on the barter system or something
Santorum=what a filthy word
Bachmann=see first part of Paul's description
Huntsman=moderate and not an idiot, so Republican primary voters hate him
Christie=would've eaten the other candidates and won the nomination
I'm probably missing someone, but I just can't see it happening for any of the above. I still believe Mitt is the only real candidate with a shot, but they won't let him get through the primaries, so they're fuct, right? Then again I thought (in 1999) that the U.S. couldn't possibly elect someone as dumb and unqualified as GWB (OK, so we didn't, really), and look what happened. There's a year for anything at all to happen, but how do any of the above actually win the general election?[quote][//quote]

Jeb Bush, but he's smart enough to avoid the shitshow in the current cycle.

Well, right. Jeb's not going to run in now, so what have they got? And how did Jeb get to be smarter than the other one?

Dex, you overrestimate the level of intelligence of the average American voter.
When you stop to consider the % of people who actually do vote, I would say it is all of us who are fuct. Regardlessly.Last edited by Bunion; 12-05-2011 at 09:58 AM.

It's not unusual to have a dumb one in the litter. Other than that, stay tuned for a 3rd party ticket that could spice things up. Meanwhile, there's a strong likelihood that the Newtster can take the nomination. Santorum-a-new-asshole is way to obsessed with man on dog sex and trampling privacy rights at every turn.
Silent....but shredly.

Now that Newt is the frontrunner, we'll soon see a lot more dirt coming to light. That guy has a shitload of skeletons in his closet.
Everything that has been said about Romney and Huntsman is spot on. Those are the only two that have a chance at beating Obama. Even if we go back to negative GDP growth, 9%+ unemployment and Dow<11k, Newt would still lose."Nice truck. Sorry about your penis."

Since you and Downbound Train are the kool-aid drinking base voter sock puppets (pretending not to be) it might be hard for you to see what the process looks like to the majority of Americans who are not part of the base.
Shit, even the Germans can see it plainly from their vantage point:
“Africa is a country. The Taliban rule in Libya. Muslims are terrorists. Immigrants are mostly criminals, Occupy Wall Street protesters are always dirty. And women who claim to have been sexually molested should kindly keep quiet.”
Welcome to the wonderful world of the Republican Party. Or rather: to the distorted world of its presidential campaign. For months it has coiled through the country like a traveling circus, from debate to debate, from scandal to scandal, contesting the mightiest office in the world — and nothing is ever too unfathomable for them… These eight presidential wannabes are happy enough not only to demolish their own reputations but also that of their party, the once worthy party of Abraham Lincoln. They are also ruining the reputation of the United States.
They lie, deceive, scuffle and speak every manner of idiocy. And they expose a political, economic, geographic and historical ignorance compared to which George W. Bush sounds like a scholar. Even the party’s boosters are horrified by the spectacle…
Platitudes in lieu of programs: in serious times that demand the smartest, these clowns offer blather that is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans. But as with all freak shows, it would be impossible without a stage, the U.S. media, which has been neutered by the demands of political correctness, and a welcoming audience, a party base that seems to have been lobotomized overnight. Notwithstanding the subterranean depths of the primary process, the press and broadcasters proclaim one clown after the next to be the new frontrunner, in predictable news cycles of forty-five days.

You have to have candidates that mirror the party's voters. This says a lot for how fucking retarded republican voters are in this country. There, I said it.

The dirty Kraut should work for the NY Times. Nice strawman set up in the first paragraph followed by awesome condesending attitude toward average Americans followed by some truth to make the rest of the bullshit seem OK.
Some of these candidates are clowns. But guess what, In America, ANYONE can run for POTUS. The clowns are being weeded out one by one. The system is working.
(Unlike the Democratic primary process which allowed Obama, the biggest joke of all, to win)I've been to two state fairs and a goat fuck and never seen anything like this!!

What happens to the GOP when they have no clowns left for the Circus?
Maybe a little car will pull up at the Convention and more clowns will come piling out.

I would agree with that. i couldnt believe the amount of people lining up for obama given his resume, he didnt even chair a committee and his social contacts should have opened up some questions.
that stated, i do believe he can slither back in; the gop field isnt too strong.
i'm "hoping" there's enough people in such miserable states that they'll take anything over 4 more years of obama. if those people dont come out, he'll get back in and then we are all fuct and those with the money will be leaving the country just like theyve been leaving california for years now.Eat em up Houston Cougars !

Charles Krauthammer on Obama: ‘More a Hugo Chavez Than He is a Teddy Roosevelt’
“It’s the rich” Obama blames, Krauthammer wrote. “And, like Horatius at the bridge, Obama stands with the American masses against the soulless plutocrats. This is populism so crude that it channels not Teddy Roosevelt so much as Hugo Chavez.
Speaking Friday on “Inside Washington,” Krauthammer discussed the point further:
“He talked about how we got here. He gave a nice historical rundown except that he left out a critical three years – his presidency. It’s as if it didn’t exist. It’s as if we jumped from ’08 to today….This is a classic example of how little it takes to stir the erogenous zones of liberals. You give them a speech with social justice, a little bit of class war, you wrap it up in the patina of intellectualism in what is essentially a speech that exonerates anything he’s done and obviously not done and says all of our problems today are the result of the plutocrats.”

Class war as defined by conservatards: poor and middling americans fighting back against the wealth sucking wall st machine.

Your rhetoric doesn't match your actions.
You and Obama rail against the same crony capitalists Obama enables. Then your solution is to tax everyone making $250k plus. What does that do too fix crony capitalism?
Obama has no interest in fixing ANYTHING. Quite the opposite. He only wants to get reelected and entrench government involvement in every part of business and life even deeper.I've been to two state fairs and a goat fuck and never seen anything like this!!
