Modest Mouse apprecation thread
One of the best bands going, hands down. Go see them live if you get the chance.
I thought their offices would be strewn with bunny-fucking and condom dispensers, a veritable enchanted forest of cock shafts and twat mist. - JoeStrummer

We Were Dead wasn't nearly as good as their previous stuff, but they're a great band nonetheless.
Dramamine came on Pandora a couple days ago, and I'd forgotten how much I dig that song. Went straight to Google and found the Seth segment from Focused, then loaded the iPod back up.Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I remember seeing these guys more than a couple times back when they were a local band in WA. Interstate 8 and the Fruit that Ate Itself. Great band with a unique sound.

Good chill music, they're probably the best thing that has come out of my hometown of Issaquah.

Word. The Issaquah skate park is where I first heard of them, they were passing out flyers for a show. Did some shrooms and had a great time. Here\\\'s my favorite Ugly Casanova song

Once upon a time I interviewed Isaac Brock...

(I also interviewed Jonny Marr once, too, but I'm not sure if I ever transcribed/published that one)."Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."

Bumping this thread cuz I'm on a MM binge at the moment.
For the youngsters like me out there who didn't get to see them when they were just a three-piece act:

shroom put it best: "Man, you're one biased motherfucker."

I saw Modest Mouse in 2003 in AC, it was a pretty small venue and they put on a great show. Great tunes for boozing or studying or pretty much anything else really.
