Thanks for taking a look. If you can get some better pics that'd be great - I'm particularly interested in seeing what's up with those heel plates that you replaced. Missing brakes & screws isn't a huge deal. I definitely have spare brakes and probably screws too. I'll shoot you a PM with my email to make the pic exchange easier.

Yeah, I scored a set there (took about a week to deliver) & another new pair from Evo a week or two ago. I'm short 1 pair of 916's, but now long 2 pairs of 920's.
Waiting to see whats up with elchupanebre's, but may still be ISO some black 916's if anyone is holding & looking to flip 'em.Going where the wind don't blow so strange

I'll put my hat in the ring for wanting a pair of shiny red 916's. Anyone?

Vitamin I's got some 916zz's listed for $121 shipped, but one of the toe wing afd's cracked and was repaired w/ jb weld. Don't think they're particularly 'shiny' either, but the price is fairly decent. Keep your eye out for heel play on the well used 916's too. They do have some plastic in the heel track that can break and cause some movement in the heels. Only problem is you can't really tell if they've got play unless they're mounted (or you disassemble the heel and visually inspect the track). Once you know what you're looking for, you can check them my holding the heels down (as if they were mounted) and trying to wiggle the heel side to side.
Oh, and GTFO of this thread with your WTB nonsense. Make your own post - this is the "Sell your minty 916's to jgb cheap" thread.

JGB here's the pictures finally. It looks likes here are two things wrong with them.
1. The missing brake as mentioned.
2. Underneath the heel there is a plastic runner piece. I'm not really sure what this does (if anything, as it just kinda clips in there, but I think it must have been cracked when they got pulled off the last pair of skis. This is what those new tracks were supposed to replace, but the shop ordered something wierd (912 heel tracks). My guess is these are skiable without, as the crack piece looks like it serves no other function than to act as a spacer, but in the interest of full disclosure thought I'd make it clear. The pics attached are next to my normal silver/red 916's which appear to have all the same parts. Also it doesn't look feel like there is too much play in the heels, I know my old S900 916's had a fair amount, but save fot having these mounted to test they feel pretty good. Let me know if you want them, thinking with the missing brake and the cracked heel piece they would be worth $100 plus $10 prioirty shipping?

Shoot me your email address for the pictures, for some reason everytime I try and load a page I get redirected to youtube, and can't get photo's to attach.
