Mike Duffy from Avalanche 1 will be putting on an Avalanche Awareness, Avoidance, and Rescue specific to skiers on December 14th at Midwest Mountaineering from 6PM to 10PM. Cost of the course is $49. I attended one of his courses last season at a snowmobile dealership and thought it was worthwhile. He typically puts these on through midwestern snowmobile dealerships, but I've been informed that this course will be skier specific (maybe snowboard too).
