Almost seems like screws aren't long enough / didn't go deep enough. Or the core is crap and won't hold anything.

Looks like a shitty core to me. If the screws were too short, you would have ripped the binding off.

PSA: Mount your own fucking skis.
I've had a rotten core before on old skis, but these are 5 days on snow since I pulled the plastic off.

Did you hit something? That kink in the ski looks like it's from an impact, which may have caused the delam.

Didn't hit anything. Was on 8" new over groomed, smooth GS turns. The pic above is after skiing all day after the kink. I definitely destroyed them but had no other skis so just kept going until they wouldn't go anymore...

Warranty is coming. The pair I destroyed were new to me (one set of holes) from Dynastar until the new pair is sent.

Last night I tried my 1/4" center-cutting end mill in a drill press on a 2x4 and it didn't wander at all. Nice sharp-edged hole, though admittedly the wood was softer than a ski would be. I didn't even clamp down the wood, though you would certainly want to locate the hole using a drill bit or other pointy object and then clamp down a ski.
Drilling a pilot hole isn't necessary with a center-cutting end mill, and I doubt it will wander much even if cutting through a low density area of a ski. Since the end mill is short and stiff, it won't flex like a long drill bit so wander is limited to the play in the chuck and drill spindle. To minimize play, lift the platform on the drill press as high as possible and still be able to swap the spot drill for the end mill, so the drill spindle extends as little as possible during your work.

Finally got my Lhasa pows put together. Mounted sollyfits at -.5 for a 302bsl. That puts my 297mm touring boots @0, and my 307mm alpine boots @-1cm
Stoked to get on them. Thanks to all who helped me put this setup together. Ticketchecker for the plates, ACH for getting me the skis, Oftpiste and Flowing Alpy for transport, PNWcement for the STH's and everyone else for their advice.
Edited for a better pic.Last edited by NW_SKIER; 03-02-2017 at 12:12 AM.

Got some touring setups mounted for the groms.
Free skis and cheap boots helps.
They have no idea how lucky they are that im not making them tour on trackers and alpine setups.

I posted this setup a few years ago and it has survived many inbounds and touring days.
This is the 'Sollyfit Plum' or Marker Lord swappable set that works with one pair of boots. The ultimate travel quiver of one, created by my fucking self. (No shop pothead has ever touched these.)
I am about to perform another binding swap for a trip to JH...

Landed these smack on recommended line between 3 pivot mounts! Should've taken a before pick.
Good way to enjoy a cup of joe in the am.

It felt kind of special to mount brand-new old-stock Salomon 997 Equipe Driver DIN=20. No scratches. I swapped in brand new wide toe AFD's and an old pair of wide mismatched brakes.
190cm Armada Magic J mounted for 314mm BSL at -2.8cm from true center (+1.5cm from manufacturer recommended line). After skiing them 1 day, I can tell I would prefer them slightly further back at -3.3cm from true center (+1.0cm from manufacturer recommended line), but no regrets because hole conflicts would have prevented that position anyway.
