    OB in Southern California

    Hey ya'll,

Just moved to orangecounty from Colorado and got a taste of powder last monday at Mt. High.

I was checking out some of the bigger peaks from the top of Blue Ridge Express and was impressed by their size and (somewhat decent) snowpack.

Thought I would drop a line and look for some partners or advice on touring and skiing these bigboys this season (if conditions abide).

    Thanks in advance. Be well,

HeHeHe, he said power at Mt High.

Yeah, there is some decent BC in socal but nothing exceptional. Badly bowl can be fun as is Baden-Powell and things off the ridge towards Mt Waterman. There are reasonably stable avi conditions, bit we e had a few deaths, so precaution is still in order. San G and San J can be fun.

There are a few of us socal maggots around, but the real goods are in the east side sierras.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

    Thanks for the words hutash.

I have little expectations but would love to get out and make some turns if it dumps 3'+

Are there any good websites for snowpack observations/TRs for the area? I could imagine wetslabs becoming probable in the afternoons...

I like the parking lot run or south bowl and bentleys dream. OB is no easy exit and requires some Knowlege of true closeouts cause after rains low exits become waterfalls and not exits. But anyway there is fun stuff if it dumps and some of us know baldy pretty well. Welcome
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
