Have you considered that this may be K2's fault for making black skis when the plugs were white? Send them back to K2!

Applying some pepper spray to the white plugs may turn them the proper color. There may be some local Policia willing to help out. Occupy the ski shop!

Just make sure they aren't Marker plugs because they suck.

Apparently someone forgot to take in beer or weed for the shop rats.
But slash their tires anyway.

Hold the skis up over a candle for a few minutes, they'll melt right out. Then a liitle anti-sieze and 2 part steel paste, good as new.

Dibs on mike's white plugs. I've got some white skis, boots, helmet, goggles, gloves and one-piece those will go great with. PM sent.

I have some black skis, but I would like them to be white -- would it be okay to drill a bunch of holes in the topsheet and use white plugs to change the color?
Life is a lot like climbing: there isn't anything much more comforting than a good #2.

why have a shop plug your holes at all?!? any JONG can do it at home. I just use a plastic cutting board and whittle down a bunch of plugs out of it. easy

Hmmmm.....I just had a plug fall out (red) on today's tour. FYI I was using plug boots Apparently the shop didn't use epoxy when mounting the plugs. I was wondering if I can just put some epoxy in the hole and re-install the plug or if I need to drill a new hole for the plug and fill the old hole with ....????? F'in shop! My skis are f'd aren't they?

There once was a man here on Teton.
His plugs didn't match the boards he skied on.
He declared with a wheeze,
"The plugs match my steeze,
fuck you and the horse you rode in on!"

I read on epicski that if the shop uses 4.1mm plugs in 3.5mm holes it's going to stress your skis and they'll probably break if you hit a bump. So you better make sure that Phil sells you the right size of holes.

With all the aggressive skiers here, I can't believe everyone doesn't plug their own holes.

I tried plugging my own hole once but it turned out I wasn't quite limber enough. If you're going to attempt this, please make sure you stretch first!
The alternative of course is just to get someone else to plug your holes for you, personally I trust my wife much more than any shop tech for such sensitive handling. It took a little reaching around before she really got into it, but once she started I had a hard time stopping her and before long she was begging me for holes to plug.
