Cheapest Place to Stay Near SnowBird?

Looking to plan a long-awaited trip to Snowbird with three buddies.

NOT looking to pay $300 a night for hotel rooms.

Anybody got a recommendation for best digs near the Bird?

    Thanks!

you're gonna have to stay in sandy or cottonwood heights, or call up the peruvian lodge at alta, i believe they have some dorm style accommodations that aren't crazy.

Super 8 in midvale ski and stay. On bus line, near food and close to canyons. Your welcome
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Look into the Alta accommodations if you like skiing before 10:30 am when it's dumping.

The cheapest place in the valley is a hostel, no reservations needed and the meals are included as well. Give them a call at (801)743-5500

very "cheap" in all regards is the Econo Lodge or Motel 6?? (not sure which one it is) which is next to La Quinta in Midvale. Also, check the hotel across the street from La Quinta, Discovery 9. I booked a room at La Quinta for $50/nt w/ bfst for early Jan and it's a nice place to stay.

    see if this link works.

Snowpine Lodge is a $109/night dorm style. Definitely the cheapest of the lodges. (Peruvian is $130/night for dorms.)

It's a very cool place with good food and ski in and out. Like they said, if it's dumping, you don't want to be in the valley... you want to ski.

I recently vacated a rental in Sandy for $350/month. Needed more room for family, etc. Was fully furnished, two house mates, lots of parking. PM if you want the info. Ten minutes to Bird. Maybe twelve.

    Motel6 Midvale
    http://www.motel6.com/reservations/m....aspx?num=0476

    Room Description:
2 FULL BED NS MICROFRIDGE, WIFI ($2.99 PER DAY)
    Rate Information
    Total: $218.96 USD

You need to ask for the weekly rate and stay 7 consecutive nights.

The above rate is for 1 so expect it to go up some for 2 if you are honest so say $125/person for 7 nights before taxes and room service

You probably could survive using the microfidge and a cooler if you are real tight.

    Happy Thanksgiving

Has anybody stayed at the Magnuson Hotel? They have stay and ski packages and appear to be just across the street from the buses and Trax.
