Old Style Obsethed Compared to PB&J/S3/Scimitar
Can anyone compare the old style 105 waist Obsethed to the new PB&J/S3/Scimitar. I have read read reviews of the new skis. Old style Obsethed has tip/tail rocker, similar waist, a little camber underfoot. Can anyone compare them? I am wondering if I should trade in my Obsethed for one of the newer skis or keep it and save cash.

Keep it and save chase that era of seth was on par with those three.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

You live in south lake... just visit the Moment factory in Reno for a demo.

Having owned the older Obsethed and the Scimitar and skied the S3, I'd say the S3 is the most versatile for inbounds screwing around and some out of bounds not super deep days.
Now I haven't skied the PB&J, but hand fucked them and they are definitely the stiffest of the bunch.
Obsethed is a fun board and does very well off piste and still does well on groomers. It feels balanced and spinny, does well in pillows and natural features.
S3 absolutely rips groomers and does very well in bounds but still ok when there is some pow, but if that snow gets heavy, it gets deflected quick because of the quick upsweep in the shovel, kind of pushes the snow rather than go over it. Doesn't feel balanced, more directional but capable.
The Scimitar is an odd ski. Maybe I would have liked it more in the 185 (skied the 178 and sold it) but if the skis were flat, it was like being on two saucers as it is fully rockered and zero camber. Once on edge though it held a carve really well on groomers.
Very interested in the Moment as well.
Honestly, I'd save the cabbage and keep the Obsetheds for this season and see what comes out next fall. Your K2's will still hold value if in good shape.
