Volkl All Mountain ski models, recent years
Hey all. I have a pair of 2007 (I think) Volkl AC4s which were Volkl's top of the line all mountain ski at the time. I loved them until the winter of 2009, I think, when I was at Keystone and took the, then new, AC50s out for a spin (they had a faux wood look to them). This was the first year of the double wide Marker bindings which I think were ONLY on the 50s then. Anyway, the felt much better than my 4s. So now I am looking to unload the AC4s and get into a used pair of Volkls with the double wide Markers. In recent years it seems that these bindings have gotten down to the AC30s. So my question is, for those who are into this stuff, what is the difference between AC50 and AC30 Volkls in the past couple of years? Are last year's AC30s as good as the previous year's 50s for instance? Thanks in advance.
